Damnit. Kreider when on his game is invaluable to this team. Even when he's not, opponents have to respect his speed so he opens up a lot of space. Not to mention he's one of the only forward to finish his checks, especially on his line.

Why did this have to happen now? Sucks.

Fast has been ready for the NHL. Imo, anyway. Call the kid up.

Next year. Miller is more ready and they have haggerty as well. Those two can provide offensive pressure after losing Kreider

It's gotta be Miller first, no?

Hopefully Bobby Mac deleted the tweet because his estimation as to how long he'll be out is wrong? Fingers crossed it's not as bad as they think and he will be back for te playoffs.

Mean time should we try this?

Nash-Stepan-MSL
Pouliot-Brass-Zucc
Hags-Richards-Miller

?

Or keep Pouliot-Richards-Hagelin together because they've looked very good.

Keep up to but not over what the margin is for ELC. 4-5 games for Fast AND Haggerty each.
Miller for sure should up here, not Dorsett.

We need someone to fill in as top line LW now, you wouldnt think that would be a problem on a team with 11 LH forwards lol.

Also, it sucks that he probably won't get to play against Torts in Vancouver.

As for the tweet being deleted, Bob MacKenzie tweets from his phone and has been known to butt-tweet, so its also possible that he butt-deleted

What makes you think that Haggerty, who has never played a professional game, can provide offensive pressure? What makes you think he's a better option than Fast?

I know Fast won't hurt us defensively. I can't say the same for Haggerty.

Thats fair. I like Fast and he is good defensively but with one of our big offensive tgreats out we probably need offense.

With Kreider hurt, expect Hagelin to be shifted to the 1st line.

That means we need a player to place back with Richards and Poo on the 3rd line.

Dorsett will likely be shifted up for tomorrows game. Carcillo in the 4th line. Miller should be given that spot though, IMO.

I think both Haggerty and Fast play RW. Kreider was playing LW for us. Miller makes sense.

Haggerty burns a year off his ELC regardless if he plays any games or not

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 22s
Not sure how or why it happened but my tweet on Chris Kreider appears to have disappeared from my timeline. I'll re-issue it momentarily.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 54s
Chris Kreider expected to be out of NYR lineup for extended period: at least a month, maybe much longer. Hand injury, possibly broken bone.

If it's a broken hand why aren't the Rangers reporting that? Kind of weird, right?

I wonder if he punched something in the locker room after tipping in the own goal or something like that....

Well, this is a **** loss. Going to really miss his size and speed, especially in round 1.

If you haven't noticed, the Rangers don't like to report anything. Especially close the playoffs, injuries will be referenced to occurring somewhere on the body.

This isn't the NFL, teams aren't required to share anything about injuries if they don't wish (and that policy in the NFL is only place to placate gambling)

Actually would not be surprised. Wouldn't be the first time it ever happened.

If he did it in between periods it would make loads of sense, particularly given how little he played in the 3rd.

True. But they're literally not saying anything. Only that he won't dress only tomorrow. Most of the time I feel like they say it's "upper" or "lower" body. Not just "he won't play tomorrow"

Could've been in the intermission. He only played three shifts in the third
