Toronto plays Philadelphia and Detroit on Friday/Saturday.

I say Toronto can still lose the game to the Flyers, but Detroit is a must win in regulation imo.

We may all make fun of Toronto, but their team is bigger and much more physical than ours. That's the way to wear down the other team and potentially injury a player in a legal manner.

Habs need their 4th line back.

Briere will be pretty close to what I was hoping out of him in terms of points.

Nice to see two points, very happy! Too bad the Habs lost four key players that they counted on for depth down the stretch, Prust could be back, same as Gorges.
I think Briere will light it up come play off time. Don't count him out yet

I can absolutely understand him wanting to hit July 1st.

I mean, the guy never did it before. Just once, in his career, he want to go on the marketplace and see how much teams want him.

It's a human thing to want.

Briere's line has nicely added some scoring in each of the last 3 games.

How was Tinordi and Bournival?
Eller meh, Tinordi ok/good (played 7+ mins in the first), Bournival good.

The Leafs are a bad team. Team goal differential, 5-on-5 GF/GA, PK %, and GA/G are all below the adequate threshold for anyone to even fathom a reasonable chance at the Cup; I find that the respective threshold values is below +10 for team goal differential, a 5-on-5 GF/GA under 1, a PK percentage under 84%, and a GA/G over 2.5 pretty much insures a team is not able to win the Cup... They're not choking, they're exactly what they are....

honestly if Vanek is in the mind set that he wants to hold out for July 1st, I just don't feel he should be the type of player we go after. We have a very bad habit of big UFA signings back firing, we have players that have been here for ever that we still have to sign, and I just think if Vanek's heart isn't in it and hes holding out for big dough, I just don't think he will be worth it. If we could get him on a 2 year deal great or a reasonable 5million/year for a longer term, but we know he is going to want mega bucks and term. A signing like that could set us back just as the Gomez signing did.

Expected. I'm glad it's not more.

They should be back in time for playoffs.

Y2J was in an HMV on St-Cath the same day the show was televised. All I remember is that he looked like he didn't sleep in days. The show itself was pretty great overall, as you might remember. Will never forget that HBK promo at the beginning of the show . It was overall a good time for wrestling, imho. The slow transition into the PG era and the ending of my teen years is what caused me to move past. I still like to look back at old tapes from time to time for the nostalgia factor, but the whole concept of wrestling just doesn't appeal to me anymore, I guess.

gotta give the coach some credit, the team keeps grinding out wins. Maybe he does know more about hockey than us HF people!

I have a feeling we won't be seeing any 1,000 word posts from Zeke explaining with fancy stats how Phaneuf is better than Subban anytime soon.

Phew!

Marked out like a madman during the fake Hitman entry. Classic, what a rush that was! The continual watering-down of the product and the fact that I was gradually finding myself more and more separated from the younger fans kinda turned me away from it. That and the abundance of shows. It was shortly after the introduction of a weekly "ECW" show that I gave up trying to follow, I didn't have the time anymore.

Our 5vs5 may suck but at least we have character.
