Well he's a Dallas Stars 5th round pick. They're not going to get outside attention until they're excelling in the NHL.

A Stars 5th round pick playing in Europe.

Only reason Jamie got any press was because of his junior career being in Canada.

No clue, looks like it was on the transaction wire. No official word yet.

Nick Paul and NB move on. 5 goals in 7 games for Paul.

Just want to mention that the Knights are pretty much screwed. They lost their starting goalie to suspension, their number 3 defenceman to a broken leg and their number 2 defenceman to mono. They don't have enough cards (call ups) left to fill out their defence so a forward has to play back there (Gemel Smith's linemate). On top of all that they are facing Guelph, the best team in the CHL.

tl;dr Jason Dickinson will be moving on to the third round and Gemel Smith will not be.

I don't believe Dallas has as much control in decision making in Idaho as they do in Texas, and it's possible Idaho didn't feel they had room for him. Maybe they do have room for a D, and it's going to be Sinitsyn?

Regardless, at least he's getting to dip his toe a bit into the pro grame. He's probably headed to Idaho full time anyway next season.

Late on the Rögle update, but at least it's good news. They win 5-3, Hansson picked up 2 assists, and Molin also picked up an assist.

The win puts them in 2nd with 13 points. First place Örebro has 19 points, and they've guaranteed themselves a spot in the SHL so there's only one more space up for grabs. 3rd to 6th are Djurgårdens (12), Malmö (11), AIK (10), and Västerås (7).

Rögle's final 2 games are at home, and they are against the two bottom teams. Game 9 is 4/4 against Västerås, and Game 10 is 4/7 against AIK. 2nd and 3rd place Djurgårdens and Malmö play on 4/4.

Niklas Hansson (1+6) and Emil Molin (3+4) are in a 5 way tie for 7th in scoring in this tournament. Hansson is 3rd in defensive scoring, but he's only 1 point back of a 3 way tie for 1st.

Rögle has played it's way into a good shot at advancing to the SHL.

Ludwig Bystrom played 10:27 in Färjestad's 2-1 Game 1 win the semi-finals. He's been splitting time with the U-20 team who has a 1 game semi-final match on Friday 4/4, and a final or third place game on 4/6. The senior team plays semi-final games on the 3rd, 5th, and 7th so it'll be interesting to see how much he gets used in the SHL playoffs or if he plays at all again for the U-20 team.

An american using Ö? What is this? Where did you get it from? Did one of the finnish dudes give it too you? Never trust a finn... we gave them our vocabulary and now they think that they can give it to anyone.

I can't tell a lie .... too lazy to spell the names so copy and paste. I was going to type Malmo because it's easy to remember but then it looked stupid spelling everything else with the correct punctuation.

Normally I'll even type out Farjestad because I've memorized it by now, but it was right there to copy and paste as well.

The J-20 games will actually be on Saturday (4/5) and Sunday (4/6).

I wouldn't say that Bystrom has been "splitting time" between the two teams. Farjestad had 6 days off between its quarterfinal series ending on 3/24 and the semifinals beginning 3/31. Thus they could easily allow their juniors, who didn't play a lot of minutes in the quarterfinals, to play J-20 games on 3/26 and 3/28.

What is this? A Swede telling to not trust a Finn, much irony! Then claiming to own our beautiful language! This is an outrage

I guess location and the whole 5 games and possible playoffs is the reason for Vance in Elmira.

That sounds reasonable except for the fact Elmira is eliminated from the playoffs. They play 72 games, they can reach a maximum of 64 points, and 8th place currently has 74 points. Too bad they couldn't find a playoff team with 5 remaining.

I don't know what other phrase you could use than splitting time. He didn't play U-20 games only after the SHL quarterfinal round. He played them during the quarterfinals.

He played U-20 games on the 19th and 21st when there were SHL games on the 18th, 20th, and 22nd.

Esa Lindell was chosen to Team Finland's two exhibition games against Latvia. (First camp roster to WHC)

Branden Troock was -1 in a 6-2 to Kelowna in Game 1/Round 2. Kelowna is one of the top teams in Canada, and many expect this to be a pretty short series.

Troock is one of the the guys Scott White mentioned they were looking at to potentially add to Texas.

He would be an acceptable replacement for a McKenzie if he hurries to the AHL.
