Rögle sure wants this thing to go down to the wire. They lost at home in a shootout to the lowest ranked team in the tournament.

Rögle and Djurgårdens are tied for 2nd with 14 points, and Rögle is listed as 2nd appearing to have the tie-breaker.

You'd think regulation wins would be the first tie breaker but that doesn't appear to be the case. Djurgårdens has more with 4. The next one I would have assumed would be head to head, but that's not it either I guess. Rögle lost both games against them in regulation.

What appears to be the tie-breaker is goal differential, and Rögle has a tenuous lead of +2 vs. +1.

Both team's final games are on Monday against the two teams with the lowest point totals. Monday's margin of victory could be extremely important.

The tears are flowing already. 3-0 Guelph after one.

Gemel Smith's line continues to be the most consistent for the knights shift to shift. He has a new centre/winger for this series in Mitch Marner (oh how I hope we draft him next year). Gemel turned over the puck which lead to the second shorty.

Dickinson continued to impress me every shift. He is Guelph's #1 centre in all situations. He isn't the greatest at face offs (gets eaten alive by Horvat), but holds his own for the most part. He made a great play on the pk by making a cerebral interception of the pass. Read the knights pp like a book. Cleared the puck (which lead to a bs goal).

Probably only 3 more after this. This defence won't be able to do anything.

Dude ... I honestly had no idea about the Kingston run until recently. You're a freaking trooper. Kingston and Dallas sure haven't rewarded you much lately at all.

Please tell me you aren't a Cubs fan too.

Hahahaha. Luckily I've only been in Kingston since 2011 for university. The fans here really deserve better though. I don't think they've won a playoff round since '98?

The Knights have given up 22 goals in little more than 10 periods in Guelph this season.
2.2 goals a game isn't great, but it's more than what Buffalo has in the NHL this year. Guelph is scoring 2.2 a period against London ....

Well gemel smith makes a great play to get the puck out front and get the knights on the board.

Desrosiers pitches a 40 save shutout in game 2 of the second round. He now sits 2nd in both Save % and GAA in the Q and improves to a perfect 6-0 in playoffs.

What an incredible 2014 he is having

Just about to post that. Been watching the updates all night, but I didn't want to jinx it.

It's his 2nd shutout, but it's his 3rd perfect game. They pulled him after 2 periods in Game 4/Round 1 with a big lead.

Is strange to see Rimouski out shot in back to back games. They seem to be excellent at limiting shots.

Dickinson with three assists (all plays that wouldn't have happened without him).

Screw him

Seattle loses yesterday to go down 0-2 to Kelowna. Troock closer to potentially joining Texas.

Even though he was previously mentioned by Scott White as a target, you have to think Cody Payne and his agent maybe didn't want to sign with Dallas or they just couldn't agree to terms.

Winther not getting mentioned isn't great, but he's been hurt all year. There's also at least a reasonable chance they are aware of a nagging situation that might require surgery. If that's the case, they may have just wanted him to get a jump start on that. Who knows? I'm just wildly speculating, but it does suck to potentially see a 2nd round pick already bust ... although that's not uncommon at all.

7-2 london tonight

Neither of our two prospects factored into the game that much. Gemel Smith continues to work well with Mitch Marner (please draft him next year. Please Nill)

Rogle didn't get it done. They finish 3rd in the tournament, tied with 2nd, but they lost the goal differential tie breaker today.

Emil Molin could potentially join Texas as it's at least likely he comes to NA next season. He's already under contract with Dallas, but he could also spend an extra (4th) year in Sweden as Klingberg chose.

Quick story and I don't know where to put it. Was playing some drop in hockey at the parks mall tonight. Some junior guys are usually there and they just dangle through everyone and it's ****ing awful, but that's not the point. Anyway, while I was on the bench I overheard a conversation about some Russian guy the stars drafted that went from umass Lowell to the chl. Sinitsyn, for those uninformed. But at any rate, these junior guys were putting him up on a pedestal like no other player I've heard before. They talked about Sinner like he was a Greek god or something. Said he did some ungodly things with the puck and he has a sick first few steps.

Anyway, I know that's of no merit stats wise, but it was just pretty cool to hear a guys peers talk about one of our prospects like that.
