Wow this must mean that Cammalleri will start the season in Manchester.

No, it means that Cammalleri, Brown, et al have some competition for roster space, and whoever earns it, gets it.

Isn't Roussin a LW? What does he have to do with Cammalleri?

I was just being an A$$. Everytime we sign a player people have been saying it means Cammalleri was going back to Manchester. I am pretty sure Roussin will be in the AHL this year.

That being said, Cammalleri may very well be in Manchester to start the year. More of a numbers game than any other reason. Shouldn't be, but it might shake out that way.

If we have many guys competing at a high level for a few positions, I believe that to be a very good thing. I know we all have our favorites, guys who we want to succeed. We probably picked 'em early and have stuck by them. But if the team is better, really better if player X isn't in L.A. but in Manchester, that's the way I want the team run. It is not always cut and dried to us on the outside, and it might be hard to accept, but that will make more of us happy in the end. Just ice the best team. Forget all the preconceived notions, allegences, and in the words of a famous NFL owner, "Just win, baby!".

Is Cammalleri the new whipping boy now that Modry has departed?

It is a size issue. To compensate for their "shortcomings", some people want to go bigger, thus the unexplained reasoning to deal a talented player.

Wow, considering how much I wanted Modry off the team from day one, I must have an immeasurable "shortcoming" ...and I always thought it was because he stunk

If I was a Kings fan I would rather see Cammy in Manchester then wasting away on LA's 4th line.

Seems like every thread on the Kings board creeps Cammy in it. To me that's a good thing. Bottom line is that he has nothing more to prove in Manchester, and it would be a shame to seem him there again. If that's the way it plays out, i'd rather see him get dealt, so he can abuse us every time we play him. I really don't understand why he has any doubters. If Cammy got the chance that Frolov got, and Frolov was going through a see-saw battle with AM............we'd probably be putting Frolov in trade packages.
Cammy deserves a crack at top six. At the least on line 3, with surrounding talent. If the Bure aquisition was a depth move, no problem, but for Cammy to fall right back down the pecking order is shameful.
Philadelphia made it top priority to sign Richards and Carter. They haven't even played in the NHL yet. But I can guarantee you they'll be in the top club. Cammy has already proved he can play in this league. This year he needs 82 games......Than all of us can talk. Just give him that chance. I've seen enough nobs take roster spots the last three years........It won't hurt us.

From an organizational stand-point, sending Cammalleri to skate with the likes of Clarke, Hogeboom, Tambellini, Kanko, Roussin, Grebeshkov and Fast in Manchester would likely enhance their development...

From a Michael Cammalleri stand-point, going back to Manchester is probably not such a good thing...

Cammy has nothing left to prove in the AHL.

This is his make or break it year. He deserves his shot at the top 2 lines. He will be motivated.

Play him with Brown and Roenick and he'll be fine.

Frolov/Demitra/Bure
Brown/Roenick/Cammy
Robitaille/Conroy/Klatt

That is 3 scoring lines. A good mix of grit and skill.

I like those three lines very much. I don't think in the Kings' mind, that they signed Conroy for 2.4 million to be a third line center. However, these three lines would be the best three lines the Kings have iced this century.

I'de switch Bure and Camellarri but other than that it looks good to me. We would have to ice a serious checking line though.

Cowan-Avery-McCarty would of been nice.

Yeah , I like those lines. It is nice to have options too:

Frolov - Roenick - Demitra
Brown - Conroy - Cammy
Robitaille - Army - Bure

or

Frolov - Roenick - Cammy
Brown - Demitra - Bure
Robitaille - Conroy - Klatt

or

yours. I love your second line. I would love to see Brown on a line with Roenick.

How about

Frolov - Conroy - Cammy
Brown - Roenick - Demitra
Those are 2 good lines too. I think Conroy would do great with Frolov and Cammy or Bure to pass to and Roenick Brown and Demitra would be a killer freaking line

I think it is FAR too soon to tell that. He has had a good career so far and has proved that he can continie to put up the numbers without either of his big name linemates. I think Roussin knows he has a lot to prove and I cant wait to be at HS for camp and watch him and see how he looks.

He could have been had much later in the draft. Maybe I'm wrong, but its easy to be overrated when you're Sidney Crosby's linemate.

If the Kings want Cammy and Brown both to play they have to move a player or planning that Klatt comes back. Right now they have 11 everyday NHL players, that leaves 1 everyday spot for 2 kids and 2 role players (TK, Flinn or Parros.)

I honestly think or hope that they deal a forward so either both Cammy and Brown have a spot or at least Brown and TK with Flinn or Parros rotating occasionally...
