It's a lethal mixture of being cocky, delusional, and depressed.

That goal off the Phaneuf faceoff was amazing.

JVR and Dion with some lovely turnovers. Love it

Glad Vinny worked on the 4th line. I wasn't too optimistic about that. I didn't see much of the 2nd line except when they got stuck in the zone and got scored on. That line is defensively-challenged.

Our PK is outstanding. I haven't seen a Flyers PK this dominant in a looooong time.

A undrafted player just lead us in ice time in a solid game. Way to go read and way to go homer

I was talking about this year's PK as a whole. I don't think our PK has been the same since Richie was traded.

So maybe we had it wrong and it was actually Schenn and Simmonds demoted to the 4th line?

****in Berube makes no sense.

LOL so awesome. I hate Leafs fans.

Jake Voracek was such a freaking beast tonight. On that last Leafs PP, Couts and Read made them look like smacked *****. They couldn't even enter the zone.

I am in on Couturier. Don't trade him for anything, ever. The kid does nothing wrong.

As far as fastest goals, four seconds ties an NHL record.

Against the Flyers, by period, the records from what I can find are:
1st:
  • Dwight Foster 0:09 Detroit 2 at Philadelphia 7 December 16, 1982
  • Ron Duguay 0:09 NY Rangers 8 at Philadelphia 3 April 6, 1980
2nd (former record):
  • Gary MacAdam 0:08 Detroit 4 at Philadelphia 9 March 12, 1981
3rd:
  • Bengt Gustafsson 0:05 Philadelphia 1 at Washington 4 January 18, 1983

****in Berube makes no sense.
Even though everyone lists Couturier, read, raffl as the "3rd line" they always go against the other teams top line so are essentially always going to be the most mins or 2nd most. Schenn and McGinn got 1 minute and 0 minutes of special teams where as simmonds almost got 3. If the Flyers could stay out of the box the Simmer Schenn McGinn line would have gotten more of the minutes. Everyone on the 4th line played well and thus probably let Berube just roll with 4 lines.

It makes perfect sense, but he must have some sort of obligation to whinge about how dumb Berube is in every post game thread.

Giroux is the only player I've ever seen show actual observable great leadership ability. What the players say in the post-game about him and how he communicates on the PP to basically run it himself is unique and actual leadership.

The Flyers just won a rather large game, stop talking about another teams fanbase in this thread

Giroux made mention of Grossmann basically walking around on one foot so I guess Pierre was right the other night when he said he was in a boot.

haha i gotcha. Also how was JVR the 3rd star? I know he scored a goal but I thought he played quite terrible and soft tonight and was the direct result in 2 of the Flyers goals.
