I heard from a co-worker...

(yeah, what a way to start a thread) that Adam Graves called him pitching him on season tickets. Yup, not a recording, but Adam himself. My co-worker (and his family) has had seats for about 30 years in section 79, I believe ($150 per season, four seats). Adam couldn't turn him around though, but I found it interesting that he was making some outbound phone calls.

Well, they did call his position "Special Assistant, Prospect Development and Community Relations".

Honestly, it's still a slap in the face to the people who have shelled out crazy money for decades. Wanna show some goodwill to the folks who pay the bills? Have Gravey tell them they're getting a smoking deal on tix this season for their years of loyalty. That's community relations

I assume that was sarcasm, but if it wasn't, how can Fletch provide a link to a story his co-worker told him happened to himself?

Yeah, Davisian...

how can I provide a link? Maybe I can get the guy to record his voice in a wav file and post it on here. Would that suffice? We may still have the recorded phone call. I'll speak with my IT guy.

I sent off the e-mail...

waiting to hear back if we have Monday's tapes. I'm also trying to obtain an authentic third party e-mail from an off-site administrator who may knows a techie who may be able to confirm the story. Stand by. I can only do so many things at once.

GET THE FK OUT OF HERE

My dads had seasons for 40 years and 2 weeks ago, Adam Graves left a message we thought it was a recording. We renewed!

And today they sent us a cool framed banner with our last name and 05 on it. NYR really stepping it up in the relations department these past few seasons.

I got the banner too--even though I switched to a mini-plan.

My guy...

got some kind of frame with a jersey (I think a picture of one) with his name on the back in 2005 on it. He basically told me (sorry davisian, I didn't record it) that he had been putting off his 'relationship manager' for weeks since he wasn't renewing. He got a Ranger notepad, then this, and his brother, who also had seats, finally called the guy and said he's not renewing. My guy doesn't call (and the deadline for him to renew gets extended two weeks magically), which led up to the call from Graves. When I first heard, naturally I thought Graves was leaving taped v-mails from an outbound predictive dialer. The Rangers must be desperate if this is what they've pulled. On the other hand, I got one call for a plan two weeks ago, and they've forgotten about me.

Edit: oops...just read in the hall's e-mail, then BR's...yeah, I guess the banner's were going around...

got the banner before I got a call from our fearless leader, my wife spoke with Sather himself and had no clue who he was and said she thinks I wasnt going back.. man if I had only been there for the call I would have told him ill be back when he is dead.

They sent that to us as well. Even better, we got to see Graves along with other subscribers at MSG last night during his welcome back to the organization. Included free orderbs too .
