Ive seen nothing of the sort.....From Pegs standpoint he classifies it as a charitable donation to the family fondation---not payment to Fasching.

As for his development I personally dont see a difference if he plays in Minnesota or in Rochester.

Not a Sabres prospect but good news for one of our prospects former teammates.

Kevin Oklobzija ‏@kevinoDandC - Adam Erne, Tampa's 2nd round pick in 2013, has joined the Syracuse Crunch. Teammate past 3 seasons with Mikhail Grigorenko with Remparts.

Unfortunately Erne won't be playing against Grigorenko when the Crunch play the Amerks -

Syracuse Hockey ‏@syrhockey - BriseBois said Erne will get to town Wednesday afternoon, but will not play Wednesday night at Rochester.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Sounds like University of Wisconsin junior defenceman Jake McCabe leaning towards turning pro now to sign with BUF. Was 2012 2nd rd pick.

Very glad to see this.

John Vogl ‏@BuffNewsVogl - GM Tim Murray says on WGR that Jake McCabe is close to signing and likely would report to Sabres, not Amerks.

I actually find this quite interesting, if it does in deed happen.

But then again, it could only be for 5 games or whatever so not a big deal at all.

Really wish someone in our terrible media would ask Murray what he thinks about McCabe. WGR had the perfect opportunity to do so today but they were more interested in getting to Football and Baseball coverage so... yeah.

London Knights ‏@GoLondonKnights - April 1 - Mark Hunter announced today that defenseman Brady Austin has been diagnosed as having mononucleosis and is currently listed as day-to-day. #LK

Hopefully he can join fellow Sabres prospect Nikita Zadorov for Game #1 of Londons Western Conference Semifinal Series vs the Guelph Storm on Friday night - 7:30 pm ET - as its the CHL Friday Night Game Of The Week on Sportsnet ONE. The game will be shown on Saturday afternoon - 4:00 pm ET to 6:00 pm ET - on NHL Network here in the United States. (Darn was hoping for a morning showing like they usually do. Seems repeating the previous nights NHL Tonight show every hour for thirteen straight hours or more is more important. Guess I'll watch the first hour and a half - record the rest before heading off to the Buffalo Bandits game.)

OntarioHockeyLeague ‏@OHLHockey - #OHL Defenceman of the Year Award Finalists:
Carrick (SBY), Ekblad (BAR), Koekkoek (WSR), McKeown (KGN), Pelech (ER), Zadorov (LDN)

A possible future look of the team forwards could be something like

Sam Bennett, Next years #1 pick of McDavid or Eichel, The Islanders Pick or other trade
Girginsons, Ennis or Grigorenko, Baptiste
Larsson, Compher, Fasching
Foligno, Kea, Deslauriers

The Sabres other roster players and other prospects not mentioned, plus other future draft picks and free agents. The Sabres are loaded and must package something for a higher end forward(s).

You're trading Hodgson I presume?

Hodgson or others can be thrown in that list somehere with someone else coming out.

The interesting thing about so many players is how the puzzle will come together? Whos in & whos out? What's the right mix of skill, grit, offense & defensive talent?
How the top 12 forwards should be put together to make a championship team?

Nice tweet I found from Andy Strickland, a CBS Sports Radio St. Louis contributor and Rinkside Reporter for Fox Sports Midwest:

@andystrickland: Lost in the Ryan Miller trade is prospect William Carrier...scout tells me don't be surprised if he's on the #Sabres 3rd line next yr.

That's from a few weeks ago. Hope he's right.

Hoping one of he and or Fasching becomes an impact top 6 forward.

Grigorenko, Armia get AHL seasoning

Quote:
ROCHESTER — After experiencing the NHL twice and getting a taste of the American Hockey League, Mikhail Grigorenko had no doubt he was above junior hockey. But when the Sabres sent him back to Quebec in January, the prospect had a decision to make.

“I could go out there and play really hard and try to score as many goals as I can – or just go out there and chill,” Grigorenko said Thursday as a smile spread across his face. “I chose to go out there and do my best.”

Joel Armia, the top pick in 2011 and considered the best sniper in the organization, has just seven goals and 25 points in 49 games with the Amerks. Folks hoped for more during the Finnish winger’s first season in North America.

“He shows signs,” Amerks coach Chadd Cassidy said. “Still needs to build his consistency. He’s just got to keep building it up.

“He’s a confidence player. He’s a guy that when things are going well and he gets rolling, he’ll dominate. He’s just got to make sure that he puts the work in to dominate like that every night. I think that’s what a lot of young players struggle with.”

Bailey has the raw skill package but is a long term project type of player. His strengths are his size, character and tremendous shot. He won most valuable player for a very poor Kitchener Rangers team this year. He'll need another year of junior and probably a couple in Rochester to put everything together. He does have the size and skill though to play that L.A. west coast type of game that Murray wants to build the Sabres into.
