I would consider Dempsey to be the #4-5 dman on the Kings. Norstrom, Visnovsky, Miller are considered to be the top three (as their contracts would indicate). Then the 4-5 is down to Dempsey and Gleason. The sixth spot will be filled by Corvo.

I'd say that he's #4, but with Corvo possibly our #6, he'll be #5 to make up for Corvo's defenseive lapses.

Norstrom-Visnovsky
Miller-Gleason(although this is where Dempsey should be)
Dempsey-Corvo

He'll see plenty of time on the PP with Visnovsky. I'm guessing that maybe Corvo and Gleason on the 2nd PP unit.

Unless he really puts on a show in camp, he'll start the year in Manchester.

Man, you have got some major huevos coming in this board with that avatar!

Dempsey should be on the first PP unit, barring a major acquisition. I'd bet 40-45 points aren't out of the question with our new found offensive talent.

I'm not sure if Dempsey will play the point on the top powerplay unit. The Kings have three forwards who are capable of playing the point on the powerplay. Pavol Demitra, Valeri Bure and Michael Cammalleri all have experience playing the point with the man-advantage. Demitra and Cammalleri play the right side point. Valeri Bure on the left side. We may see one of those forwards on the point and ice JR with Frolov and another forward and Visnovsky on the opposite point.

The second powerplay unit will likely consist of Dempsey and Corvo on D.

I expect Luc to be on the # 1 PP so, maybe Luc, Frolov, Roenick and Lubo and Demitra on the point? Then we can have Conroy, Bure, Camms and Dempsey and Corvo/Gleason on the point?

I'd agree, though I'm not certain AM likes to play forwards on the point. It's conceivable that Gleason may get some minutes on the PP later in the season.

He doesn't, but hopefully with these guys having so much experience he'll give it a try.

60-65? Is that a joke?

I'm thinking the same thing. I hope Frolov can get that many points, but Dempsey? I'll say 34 for him.

maybe more of a reflection of poor depth, but when Dempsey was on the Hawks, before being acquired, he was solid, logging about 24 mins a game...not bad if you ask me....#4 D man on our blueline

even though dempsey is probably 4th on the depth chart he might log a lot of time with norstrom because i think visnovsky will be paired with miller and dempsey will do just fine on the top defensive pairing with matty. 30pts isnt dreaming i think he will be right around there.

and what show did Corvo put on to get here? I wouldn't go to his show if someone gave me a free ticket, a coke, and a large popcorn.

Speaking of popcorn maybe Corvo's nickname should be Kernel-----the hard crap that's leftover and gets dumped.
