I picture an enamored old man hiding in the bushes watching another old man hand out bikes to kids for exchange of hugs.

I'd say it's more of a sign of how you were raised.

I woke up in way too many different beds in the last few years, it got tiresome. But I'd do it again.

Now, I'm in my by far longest relationship.

Not true. Women still have to go out and make themselves look pretty. It sounds easy, but it gets mentally draining.

Only if you want someone decent. Otherwise this isn't even required.

Depends. Would need more context to know the actual situation.

I'm definitely in the phase of my life where I associate with your first statement. Not tired yet

Might get some heat from other people because it may sound mean, but I usually ignore them a bit. Shows her you have other stuff to do and she'll want to compete for your time if she likes you. At least this works with youngish girls, like college age.

Ignoring someone completely may work short term but after a while just makes the other person wonder what they did wrong.

Correct, it's only to be used as a transition out the friend zone. If you continue ignoring you look like an ass.

Why do your friends think you're friend zoned? Did she say something specific?

well we were talking about like past friendships we had and I was talking about my overly-emotional ex and she said
"I can be emotional too so watch out"

Also, I don't think I'm friendzoned, I'm pretty damn sure she wants something out of it because she talks to me in a different way than anyone else and she laughs at basically all my jokes.

Earlier in bio class she was helping me out and she was laughing a lot. (also, she's the one who told me to sit beside her)

Eh, that's the opposite of a friendzone answer. Sounds to me like your friends don't know what they're talking about.

"friend zone" is a really slippery slope, man, women look at things the same way men do

the solution is to be honest and forthright~

e: also no she digs you but if you don't show any clear indication you feel the same what do you think will happen

This OT has taken an interesting turn but I don't feel qualified to talk about random hook-ups, or friend zones as I'm a social recluse as I voluntarily stayed in the condo with 3 young ladies and even got their numbers when I booted them out about 90 minutes ago before my workout.
