That was the point I was making. I was wondering if perhaps he had come to town to visit his future team.

he's not sure where he's playing this year...haven't talked to the kings about this...

referred to nhl players playing in europe last year as 'seniors'...and he didn't get much playing time last year because of the seniors...

he's very happy to be in the nhl and kings...dream come true for him...

his game is that he's a little bit of a sniper and playmaker...

By him saying he doesn't know where he's playing this year, does he think he might be headed to Regina? Or is it only Sweden or Tinsletown for him? Or was that not specified?

Hacksaw hinted at him going to Manchester. I could see this as a possibility since they just lost a center in Lehoux.

You guys are complaining about hearing the voice of a number one pick for the Kings in August....of the year, let alone the decade, he was drafted. Thank God for someone, (take a bow Hacksaw), taking an interest in one of the few sports I'm interested in. I get a kick out of imagining all those, Laker die-hards getting antsy and punching buttons on the radio. McDonald-Douglas ain't puttin' up hockey pre pre-season.

P.S., send Anze to Regina.

I don't understand a word you said in the top paragrph, but I agree with the last assesment. He'll be the best player on his team, arguably in the league, and it should be a pretty potent offense. Manchester might be good for him, but that's a year that counts against the 7 till free agency, and some Euros crash and burn when going straight to the A. Also, I'm a Pats fan, and would kill to see a guy like Kopitar play live, as well as Regina have arguably the best team in the dub.

Riderville, is that in the Canadian Rockies? "From Baja to the Canadian Rockies, I wanna talk sports with you!". Sorry about being so convoluted but in the Sunny Southland there ain't hockey every 10 minutes on the radio. Not like Canadian radio. I've been checking out 1040 am in Vancouver, they break away occasionally to talk other sports, BC lions especially, but here, there ain't jack but the Hack. I have suffered 30 years through Dodgers and Rams and Lakers and almost any other thing but hockey on the radio. Now someone is talking hockey, that, my friend, is a shift of major proportions. Like Riderville radio talking surfing or beach volleyball, or the Riderville gay rights parade. Sorry for the obtuseness of these posts, Wolf Creek Brewery got some business tonight.

But we agree, Anze to Regina. Pump up his North American awareness, in one western Canadian blast, hot-house flower, as it were.

Sorry, but are you joking?

It's been said in a few reports and articles that Anze speaks English fluently.

Riderville=home of the greatest sports fans around. I'm from Saskatchewan, but Riderville is shorter, and I like it more.

You should listen to The Fan 590 in T-Dot. It's pretty much all hockey, except when they play ESPN radio at nights.

Also, I might see my source in the Pats' organization this weekend, so if we get talking, and he mentions anything about Kopitar, and where he is/is likely to be playing next season, I'll update y'all on Sunday or Monday.

Well, I met with the guy, but we got talking about other things, and I forgot all about asking about Kopitar. Looks like we'll find out eventually, though. I'm guessing DT will sign him, and then decide Manchester vs. Regina.
