One strange thing in the article:

Lanky Chad Kilger was to have centred the second line, but he was hit by a stick in practice, breaking bones around his left eye. It is unknown when he will return.
I heard about him centering the 4th line but never, ever the 2nd. Did I miss something?

I'd say with the lack of talent this team has at the moment, Kilger playing a 2nd line center role is a possibility. Remember, last season he has played about 15 games on the first line, and did fairly well, although not being spectacular. I can't see why he couldn't be given the opportunity to establish himself as the team's new 2nd line center right from the start. He could contribute offensively, if given decent linemates.
