Tanguay likes Bertuzzi as a linemate...

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/shown...ntent=h081833A

Alex Tanguay of the Avalanche also spent some time on the line Thursday. It was soon apparent Tanguay held no hard feelings toward Bertuzzi over the Moore incident.

"I wish he could be playing in Colorado with me," said Tanguay.

"He has such a big presence. He can hold onto the puck and slow down the game to his pace. With his size and strength he can play a little bit different game than anybody else.

"It fun to play with a guy like that. It gives you more time to get open and more time to do your thing."

Seems to me that Colorado needs to find Alex a good power forward linemate that parallels Bert's size and skill. Forsberg previously gave him a similar luxury but was injured too frequently. Konowalchuk is a potential candidate, but he's not big and not nearly skilled enough.

I think just about anyone would want to play alongside a mammoth like Bertuzzi, maybe with the exception of someone named Steve...

Pronger is one of the very few players that can expect to command maximum dollars. He is also one of the few high-paid players that could actually be traded in todayís marketplace, which will soon become flooded with unrestricted free agents.

Tkachuk and Weight donít seem to be in that category, at the moment. Tkachuk could fetch something closer to the trade deadline, once his 2005-06 salary is largely paid.

The Avalanche have 1.5 M cap room (enough to fetch a 6 M player at the trade deadline). Tkachuk's salary is 7.6 M. Colorado would need to get rid of a player who makes at least 1.6 M (assuming the cap room remains throughout the season) for the year. So, here's a fantasy trade offer: Konowalchuk (0.48 M), Sauer (0.18 M), Wolski and 2 1st rounders for Tkachuk (1.9 M). The Avs would have 0.26 M in cap room remaining after the trade...enough to acquire 1 M worth in talent (i.e. third line center).

Yeah there's less of a chance of him attacking you on the same team.

That's an absolutely horrendous trade, IMO.

Steve Konowalchuk
Kurt Sauer
Wojtek Wolski
2005 1st round pick
2006 1st round pick

for...

Keith Tkachuk?

Are you _MAD_!?!

Dont worry Hasbro, Bertuzzi doesn't attack classy star players like Alex, only rookie punks that take runs at all-star players.

A finesse player wants a huge power forward on his line? Surprise surprise...

Not really sure of who could be attainable, but someone like Doan would be real nice... not that he is available.

The double minor he took during the 5-5 game last season that pulled the Nucks off the power play.

There was also Eric Messier.

Oh and I remember a particularly dirty boarding of Forsberg in February of 2000 that led to a serious concussion and 7 stitches. My do you Canuckers have very short and quite selective memories...

Just in case you have only been watching hockey for a year or two and did not know about this. It also knocked Foppa out of the All Star game. So much for your BS story about Bert never going after quality players.

Not only dirty, but stupid. Granted the Avs were up 2-0 and favored in the series, but you could argue that was a huge turning point, considering the momentum changes throughout that game. The Nucks were going to get PP and Bertuzzi proceeds to shove Mess' face into the ice and soon after Forsberg scores the OT winner.

quick someone give me something else controversial and hockey related that I can say to deflect attention so this doesn't become a bert/moore debacle!

Gretzky was way overrated, and the oilers would have won the cups without him, and he is classless and the biggest cherry picker to ever skate.

god i hope it works...
