What more can they do. The Habs are stuck with a bunch of players that nobody wants. IMO, after getting Begin and Langdon today, I think that only Ryder and Ward will begin the season in MTL. I am not so sure also for Hainsey, and possibly maybe even Komi. Not that he is not good enough.

The habs do not have any room to manouver. They cannot send the who team down to Hamilton, no matter what CJ said that its not about the $$$. Yah sure , tell that to George. I am sure he would like to have about 5-6 players in Hamilton representing $15 to 16M. I would not bother him. Right!

Let's relax, we know we are heading in the right direction for sure. Atleast in 2 - 3 years we will better days.

blah blah blah, why don't you cry about it, or WAIT til the REAL season begins. kthx

I'd be right behind you, but the problem is the last 2 pre-season games were the time to put the offence together. Don't forget, the Habs will start the season with a definitive loss in Ottawa. A chance for Lalime to get a shutout, because the team against him is pretty much a lame duck. It's top 6 players are amongst the worst in Habs history...at least since I've been following them (which is around 1976). And the rest ain't better.

If only Souray can get it together. We don't really know him that much. But from what we saw in Boston 2 years ago. Watch out if he can remain healthy. Shelly's a very nice guy in person.

I don't think that we have to worry because the team doesn't score a lot of goals. The important thing is to play well, defensively and offensively, IMO they are better defensively than last season (Sheldon Souray) and offensively...we get shots, but I believe the goals will come.

Yeah, we're definitly a defensive team, you know, when you can't score a goal, you must be a denfensive team.

Koivu has a great chance to be, with Zednik missing probably about 2-3 games. I don't see how it could be catastrophic to miss them for a couple of games.

Exactly, they could both be missing 2-3 games. That's why we need the team playing good hockey or else we could be out early.

Great effort from Ryder to get the goal. Man am I glad he's doing well in that game. His spot is not yet secured with Langdon and Begin coming in.

so 2-2 people! Let's win this one to build momentum!!

It's as if you're writing about freaking Mario Lemieux here...I mean, Koivu for crying out loud, can't even score 30 goals regularly. Zednik, I'll admit, can shell it, but 30 goals is still only one goal per 2.3 games. Can't win with 0.40 goal a game...

This team is just weak up front. Face it.

There's difference between checking stats of a player in pre-season & checking if the players is buying into the system.

It was not new even before the pre-season that this team would have a hard time to score. The inexperience of this team will cost us this season to be a bottom 5 team this season.

Im ok , we should have done this 5 years ago instead of patching with McKay-Gilmour-Lindsay, we never integrate young players for the 3rd-4th line, that IMO why we are in the same point than 5 years ago.

Koivu has 50 assists last year, so he can create 0.609 goals per game for the other forwards. And we add that 0.378 goals from Zednik, we got 0.987 goals per game... But of course, the some of the assist from Koivu goes to Zednik, but Koivu scores 21 goals too, *****, some of his Zed's assists also goes to Koivu's goals!!!!
Man really need a mathematician here to help me out!!!....

hahaha...
