Not to be to particular, but the Tennessean says he "may" be moved to Center.

And I wouldn't mind it. He doesn't have a lot of "NHL" experience at Center, but IIRC that was his primary position in Finland.

He is our best faceoff guy, unfortunately, he is not that good of a playmaker. Unless we change the way we operate the lines, his best ability (getting in front of the net) is wasted.....

Greg Johnson or Adam Hall as your second line center for this year is not optimal. I love Hall and he may grow into it but I have a hard time thinking he is 2nd, which means Captn Greg will have to be up there. This seems like the fallback/ bandaid if we cant land a better fit.

An idea of what the lines could look like with Adam Hall moved to center (and I think he can do the job)...

Paul Kariya - David Legwand - Scott Walker
Martin Erat - Adam Hall - Steve Sullivan
Jeremy Stevenson - Greg Johnson - Scott Hartnell
Darcy Hordichuk - Scott Nichol - Jordin Tootoo

Why not Sullivan on the first line? Well, I believe having one tough player on each scoring line would be optimal. Walker would provide that on the first line, while Hall would provide that on the second line. And I think the pairing of Erat and Sullivan could put up some great numbers.

BTW, Stevenson is the uptapped goal source of the team. I don't know why nobody else thinks he can provide offense for the team. The third line of Stevenson, Johnson and Hartnell would be one tough line, but could very well be a valuable scoring threat.

Anyhoo...

I like that second line BP.

Hall has the size and the defense to cover for Erat and Sullivan, it also adds someone with the ability to crash the net.

I would really like to see Upshall get a shot at the third line, along with Pivko and heck....Gamache. Stevenson is a hard-worker, and he definitely isn't afraid to get in front of the net. Still, I would really prefer him to be the 13th forward and be a filler on the 4th line.

Very, very nice team. Preds fans should be excited about how well their team has been built. You would have to think that you guys are in the top 3 in your conference next season. Love the balance, love the D, and you should still have very good goaltending as well. That is one balanced corps of forwards that provide flexibility, grit and goal scoring.

Good luck and kudos.
