The Flyers clinched a playoffs series for the first time in franchise history with a 4-1 win at Minnesota. Doug Favell was exceptional as he made 37 saves and Ross Lonsberry scored twice and had three points. Minnesota's J. P. Parise said "Favell was the big difference (in the series). He made the big stops when it counted."

This ,,, I think he is our guy , played great in a huge game last night !

I wonder is Pens throw this one to try and get us up into 3rd so we don't play them ?

That or they go all out and blow us out in a statement game

Try to avoid Boston at any cost!

Flyers are capable of beating the Pens and have done it before but don't bank on the Pens losing on purpose... they will try to make life miserable for the Flyers one way or the other.

Wonder if Pitt will sit some of their players. I'm sure they don't want to play us in the first round and certainly don't want to risk injury before the playoffs. Gonna be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

Dependant on final two games:

2-0-0: 95% Rangers, 5% Penguins
1-0-1: 73% Rangers, 22% Pens, 5% Bruins
1-1-0: 58% Rangers, 29% Pens, 14% Bruins
0-0-2: 50% Penguins, 27% Rangers, 23% Bruins
0-1-1: 59% Bruins, 21% Rangers, 20% Pens
0-2-0: 74% Bruins, 14% Pens, 13% Rags

Overall:

58.3% Rags
21.8% Bruins
19.9% Pens

Basically just win one of the two remaining to make the Bruins a slim possibility.

Why don't we just rest Grossmann and dress Gill for a couple of games? At this point, home ice is a long shot and the Penguins don't scare me any more than the Rangers.

Starting off a series in MSG sounds like a nightmare to me. While starting off in the CEC sounds a lot more comfortable.

The Rangers actually have one of the worst home records of any playoff team this season (ahead of only Detroit). They have the second highest number of road wins of any team in the league (trailing only Colorado).

I understand but we haven't won a game there since 2011. We're a disaster every time we walk in there. But who knows, maybe the trend changes this year.

Both CBJ and Detroit are losing by 2 with one period left in their respective games. If those results hold, I think the Pens hold the decision if they don't want to play us by letting us win (if both teams lose tonight, we can clinch the 3rd seed in the Metro by winning Saturday).

Basically just win one of the two remaining to make the Bruins a slim possibility.
Thanks, didn't realize it was so wide open still, good chance of seeing the Bruins if we dont finish strong here. Although I'm guessing the chances of playing the Rags just got a lot higher with Columbus and Detroit losing in regulation tonight.

Either way, hoping for something decisive like that 4-0 win last time against the Pens in Philly. We've been looking shaky heading into the postseason here, has me nervous.
