Adam Deadmarsh

Does anyone know if he healthy? I was wondering if FLyers want to sign him since he is/was Forsberg's best friend back in Colorado. I believe Bob Clarke said he wants to keep his salary around $36 - $37 Millions... Right now Flyers salary cap is around $35 Millions. I believe Flyers are at least $1.5 - 2.5 Millions below. I strongly believe Flyers need another winger specially on the Right side on the 1st Line.
I would sign any one of these Right Wingers:

1) Owen Nolan (assuming Leafs will release him and he is healthy)

2) Teemu Selanne (NHL suppose to open up; No Red Line; No clutching & grabbing, I believe he still has decent skills. Think about Simon-Forsberg-Selanne on a same line)

3) Anson Carter (He always play well whenever you put him with a good play making center Forsberg )

4) Adam Deadmarsh (If he is healthy, he can be decent power forward and he would love to team up again with Forsberg)

I think Selanne still has it, given the right poeple to play with. he suffered in Colorado and played few minutes. Give him time and the right linemate and he can still be a force. I'd be happy with him in Philly for sure.

Unless Esche and Seidenberg signed .45 league minimum and decided to split 450K in the end of the season, we are at 35M I believe we are at a little over 37.5M or somewhere in that area. I do not know exact # how much Seidenberg and Esche contracts are

Nolan will have a surgery and will be out for 6 month. Selanne is too soft why would you want him??? Flyers already have a team. If we need a winger we will add him after 50-60 games.

If for some reason Clarke decides to sign someone else let it be someone who does not have a history of injuries.

Esche got 1 mil and Seidenberg got 450k I believe, so that pots the flyers around the 37 mil that they targeted.

A mil for Deadmarsh is an intriguing idea, but his injury history should scare off most Philly fans. You guys do remember Eric Lindros, dont you?

Looks like we're at about $37.2 million with the signings of Esche and Seidenberg. Not bad at all, considering the lineup we are going to ice in October. I would not be surprised if we try to make a deadline deal for some scoring pop, but I am very happy with where we are now, talent-wise and salary-wise (except for Brashear).

I have no problems with Brashears signing, he's there to protect the stars...

I think the Flyers are done with free agents. I doubt a trade will happen too. I've more than happy with the way our roster looks now and I can't wait to see them play.

I agree. Keep whatever room we have for the trade deadline.

I think we've seen the last of Deadmarsh in the NHL unfortunately.

The only catch about being so close to the cap is that it doesn't give you a huge amount of flexability come the deadline if you want to bring in an improved player.

It was approximately $37.2 million, at my last count, but I could be off a little either way.

Adam Deadmarsh is done. As a Kings fan I've been following his situation closely, and he said he is done...or else the Kings would have brought him back.

We are all set for now. We do not need Deadmarsh or anyone like him. We have rookies (some great rookies on our team) and if injuries Flyers should bring Umberger, Ruziska etc etc during the season. Even if we will need a scoring winger it will be in the end of the season. I hope everyone is in perfect health and let the game begin.

Currently we are at roughly 37.2M not bad.

The Flyers need to keep their options open for the trade deadline. That way, they can read and react to the holes they have then, as opposed to holes they have before the season has started.

Decent power forward? Decent?
Have you EVER watched him play?
This guy was a warrior, a joy to watch, a great player and a great leader, too bad his career is over.
