Steve Ott

Where will he sign? What will the contract look like?

He will turn 32 this summer. He's coming off of a four year, 11.8m dollar deal that paid an average of 2.95m annually.

His number for St.Louis, a well structured team, are brutal. Does anyone have any input on his performance as of late?

With the way the Yotes are imploding in the midst of a playoff race, I would say getting someone like Ott just shot up on our off-season priority list. Probably moreso than getting a scorer - and we need one of those too.

Offensive black hole. He's had a couple chances that he couldn't bury but he's been ineffective for the most part. Maybe he's trying to do too much, maybe he just sucks now, who knows.

I'd happily have him on the Canucks if we can move Higgins and have a 3rd like of Ott-Horvat-Hansen

While I'd definitely welcome him back, how often do UFAs return to teams that just traded them?

It used to happen to teams pre-lockout all the time, small market teams get traded players for essentially nothing and then when they leave they get consolation picks from the league only to have the player sign with the original team again

dude is a super-hard competitor, which is EXACTLY what the Capitals need! He'd be a great captain or Assistant Captain to come in and help right the ship!

Blues did it with Tkachuk and Weight. Obviously it's not very common though.

Recchi Pens-Canes-Pens as well.

I'd think Orr would want to go to more of a contender, but if the market isn't what he'd like then I can see him returning to Buffalo on a multi-year deal.

Best years are behind him already and he's slowin' down. Draws and pest-play? Not quite worth what he'll demand.

Not to mention that he played under tips before and he got the best out of him. Can't imagine him getting paid that we'll again esp since he play such a tough game might break down sooner rather than later

He will return to Buffalo IMO. He generally loved the area and the Sabres will pay for a vet leader or 2

As a Blues fan I just dont see why soo many people want him on their teams. He provides no offense and isnt good defensively either.

He is good at face offs and always gives his all but is a pretty bad player.

I agree, as a Blues fan the difference in value between and guy like Chris Porter and him are minimal. Takes as many penalties as he draws.

Hoping Habs, I wouldn't mind getting he and Brian Boyle to centre 3rd and 4th

Banal to say but money and term will determine his fate. Sabres can offer 3 years at 3.5 per but more or longer is just too much......
