According to a source Montreal Canadiens prospect Martin Reway will be joining the Hamilton Bulldogs on an amateur try-out deal.

He tweeted a thanks to the Olympiques and his billets. Sounds like he's going somewhere.

If Timmins was a genius we would have a cup by now.

Timmins is very good at finding NHL calibre talent in the later rounds, which is no easy task.

Likely be a dynasty had left him alone. Look at trading McDonagh or Carlson, or overruling him on picking Giroux?

I believe that Grant clarified this recently by suggesting that another amateur Hab's scout persuaded Timmins to change his mind and take...Fischer?

I'm sure the nightmares are still frequent for all the participants.

Reway has another year of junior eligibility so I'm not sure why he would thank his billets unless he thinks Gatineau might trade him.

Drafting is one thing. Developing and keeping is another. He's some his job but the organization has let him and the fans down.

Can't blame the guy for that. Just be grateful we have him in the organization as he's one of the best out there.

It would be much better for him to join the slovak national team camp than joining the Bulldogs just for 3 games. He has big chance to make the WCH team.

Is the team camp already started? would he have a chance to get picked?

Yes, camp started about 2 weeks ago, and we played first game yesterday. A lot of older players(Radivojevič, Hossa jr., ...) won't play at these WCH, so there is a big chance for younger guys. GM and head coach were at the WJC and they want him in the camp. I think he has big chance to make the team, even play on the second line.

Probably getting traded.

I bet with Nevins and possibly Reway going to Hamilton Vail will get sat. If he does, that shows he's not likely to receive a contract.

Am I the only one who's not excited to see this kid in a Habs jersey?

Jacob De la Rose is the player I can't wait to see.

I think Reway is the new SK74 to a lot of people. He fell to us for whatever reason and has outshined a first round pick on his team offensively. Hard to say who's junior career is more impressive when you factor team mates. Sergei was older but better than Gagner. On the other hand Poirier wasn't drafted for his offense so Reway being better isn't that big a deal even if they're the same age.

That and he had a ridiculous training camp.
