As a flyer fan I just want to say Beau Bennett played a great game and I can see what all the hype is about. He is going to be very good.

although I must add, as an outsider watching today's game, Emery did his team no favors either...
Emery at least had the excuse that he went in there cold after sitting 2 periods.

It's mind boggling.
It reeks of arrogance. "well these are our guys and we believe in them."
You don't even have to look at advanced stats. Just watch them play.

Zolniercyk is a better NHL hockey player and will give you more than Glass/Adams and Pyatt, easily.
It reeks more so of stupidity to me, which is worse at this point. If the way the analyze players ends with them being happy with that then it's a crippling problem way worse than arrogance. Thinking Gladams will magically become good is stupidity, thinking that they will suddenly contribute positively is stupidity. It's the same stupidity that still has Fleury here and that means Orpik could be re-signed. They're arrogant with clinging to the getting to their game ******** and still thinking they can clean up the league.

How the **** did DB not play BB on that 2nd period 5-on-3? I love JJ on the PP, he's got skill in bunches, but he's not a right handed shot. We clearly needed BB to the left and Neal to the right w/ someone (I guess Sutter is fine) in front, and Crosby and Niskanen working the points/coming in as needed. Just watching such a prime opportunity to score go wasted because of terrible coaching really crushed my spirits.

You're allowed, but just because the "Trophies for everyone" generation says that "No opinion is wrong", doesn't mean they're right.

Someone's opinion could be that the sky is actually pink, but it's still wrong and stupid.

You keep calling people out and/or inferring contradiction without stating an opinion of your own and backing it up. If you keep doing it you're going to get dinged for trolling. It's fine to disagree with me and anyone else, but explain yourself and back it up.

I said it in the GDT - Bylsma just doesn't understand the concept of a right-handed shot in the left circle on the PP.

He wore the Steelers inspired helmet from the outdoor game with Chicago.

Interestingly enough, Emery and MAF have the worst playoff sv% of any active goalies with a reasonably sample size.

yep, it wasn't exactly a clinic in the 3rd+OT today

Emery: 2.57 GAA----.903 sv%
MAF: 2.73 GAA---.903 sv%

I like to call it the Lid with a Lip. Might be the worst hockey helmet ever painted for an NHL goalie.

Wonder how many swigs of a water it took to get through that sentence?

Really though, what do they expect? Other teams are just going to let up on Letang?

I can't stand DB. The 5 on 3 lefty-heavy pp today was the same freaking mistake he made against Detroit not long ago. Why does he keep doing this? There's not another coach in the league that would run the 2-man advantage pp like he does.

Why doesn't Beau Bennett play more with Crosby? He has the skill.

Bylsma on Letang-Hartnell shoving match: "A guy picking on a guy who had a stroke." #Penguins

While that was my initial reaction, putting Letang in the game implies that he's recovered and can handle what's going to get dished out on the ice. He can't be expecting guys to go easy on Letang so there's no point whining about it.
