Nothing wrong with acquiring a first line winger for free. Well done Shero!

Playoff roster being filled out. Remember it's more than the usual 22/23 guys, now.

Just more reasons for Bylsma to play the wrong guys.

Damn, he could have been a huge boost to WBS on their own playoff run.

I didn't like Kobasew when he was up with the pens, but he did have 10 goals in 11 games for the baby pens, i guess he earned a call up.

I still don't think he has a chance to play any playoff games, hes probably called up to give a regular a rest tonight, which is a good thing.

Lol, the ******** will be hilarious

Seriously people, he deserved to be recalled. He's been scoring at an absolute mad pace since being sent back down. The Pens aren't going to just ignore that. Everyone here complains about players that deserve to play (Despres especially, Megna, Scrabbles, ect) getting screwed over, but saying Kobasew should stay in the AHL is doing exactly that, that's screwing him over. He at least deserves a shot again.

He'll definitely be better than Adams, Pyatt, and Glass , so he's definitely at least going to help.

Maybe. But what on earth makes you think he will play over one of these guys? Generally, I wouldn't have a problem with the callup but you just can't keep on giving Bylsma his toys and then expect him not to play with them. They need to be locked away somewhere (e.g. in the AHL) where they can do no harm.

Yeah, with that I have no problems with it. Just as long as he remains a practice guy.

But it will likely be this. That's what worries me.

Agree. But we all know he likely will see the ice during a playoff game.

As long as Kobasew is in the lineup over Pyatt, I'm find with Kobasew being called up. That would give us:

Kunitz-Crosby-Bennett
Jokinen-Malkin-Neal
Kobasew-Sutter-Stempniak
Glass-Goc-Adams

Which isn't terrible.

Goc and Kobasew should be switched, but then Bylsma wouldn't be our coach.

He wasn't bad when he was first here. Then it really slowed down.

I agree....as long as Pyatt is benched this is an upgrade.

I dream of a world where I don't have to choose between Pyatt and Kobasew... but then again, DB might too, and play them both.
