Well Caps just pulled a Gainey/Gauthier type move. Hopefully they don't tank and add another high pick.

Caps will make the playoffs every year, and bow out after the first round every time. Beautiful.

To be fair, Nashville never had the budget Washington does. The Predators have always been an internal cap team.

IMO you gotta take the C off Ovechkin before any real changes can take place in WSH.

10th goal by Gaborik. Even if Habs made it to the final, it would be VERY tough if it was vs LA.

Amazing to think how close they were to elimination. This side certainly doesn't resemble the team that played in those first 3 games.

It helps that Drew Doughty was not injured like last season.

Having a Dion Phaneuf clone and the crappy-at-defense John Carlson is not going to help Trotz. He has a sexy first line, a disjointed second line, and a mess of depth players. It will not be enough to bring Washington over the edge. Washington is a failure of a franchise, and it will continue its glorious history of no Cups.

Yeah, shall the Kings beat Chicago I wouldn't feel very bad about Montreal not advancing past ECF. Let NYR get embarrassed by LAK.

Jake Muzzin. OHL overage free agent pickup. Nice.

The Habs or Rangers will be no match for the Kings. If the Kings get to the finals they will have a cakewalk to the cup against either east team IMO. The finals will go 5 games max..

The Kings have no weaknesses. When they get into gear, they're unstoppable.

Hard to believe Chicago is the reigning Cup champion the way they're playing right now. Kings are toying with them.

Crazy to think the Kings were all but done 3 games into the first round...and now they look ready to steamroll the Hawks.

Doughty might be the best player in the world, the bigger the game the better he gets.
