I was a big fan of his pre-draft and I can confidently say there weren't many people interested in him at that point (broken clock is still accurate twice a day). It's awesome to see him win people over and rise up the ranks like he has - he was our top prospect on THN Future Watch so I guess he would be considered one of our top prospects.

The big question is still his offensive upside as there's no doubt about his physical ability and defensive potential.

The best way for a player to improve is to play against tougher competition, not weaker. Playing him in the CHL makes no sense.

Sorry, I'd say way off.

He doesn't have nearly the same offensive awareness or playmaking ability. He's also ten times the skater Berglund is which totally changes the way he plays the game. Similar size and heritage though.

I'm honestly not sure he's got Landeskog-type upside, I think that's pretty wishful thinking.

He has been playing men for three years.

JDLR played 14.22/game in Leksand.

As a 3rd line player.

I want him to go against top opposition as a 1st liner in the AHL.

Would be great in Hamilton with Andrighetto next season, but please fire Lefebvre first.

Sure thing.

I am sorry for having said something that was, in big part, wrong. I didn't meant to insult the swedish league; it's a very strong place to play. It's just that I believe De La Rose's progression might be better served by playing regular top-line duty against top opposition, in a smaller rink.

Levebvre is probably the biggest question mark. I believe the whole Nygren incident might have blown the lid off a situation that might be addressed.

I am sure as hell that Bergevin has been carefully monitoring the Dogs ever since. Just look at the amount of effort he deployed in restocking that team.

MB's master plan is to replace MT with Lefebvre.

You got me all wrong, I was just trying to hand out some information Of course it's better for JDLR to play top line minutes on a smaller rink I think he'll turn out to be a solid NHLer in a couple of years.

I don't mind Lefevbre. The AHL is a developping league and we can develop both down there.

Too bad, McDavid's draft year is next year. By the time Lefebvre arrives, Operation Tank will be a bit too late

That will never happen. The Dogs job usually means the next one in line to take over the Habs. Muller has no French on his resume.

Does it really mean that he starts in Hamilton next year ? Or he can still play in Sweden for another year ?

Yay account validated, heres to my first post.

The problem I see with JDLR is his offensive ability, I don't want him to become our grinder. I hope he goes to the CHL and not the AHL, they are some great coaches in the QMJHL that can make him a better playmaker.

Patrik Berglund? Yes please.

He was drafted by Windsor (OHL).

Well that's even better, Windsor would be better than the hellhole that is Hamilton.

Maybe Magnus overreacted. Maybe he hasn't.

Are you genuinely satisfied at the development of our AHL players?
