I'm in the process of making an executive decision. I'm going to make my first line fast and threatening, second line full of bruisers, and solid two way guys in my bottom six.
I'm envisioning
HL Backstrom HL 89 Henrique- HL Voracek
??- Jumbo Joe- HL Burns
Steen-Bergeron-Callahan
Helm-Dubinsky-Chimera

Base voracek and base backstrom worked wonders together for me before, but this time I'm setting backstrom on the wing to make up for face offs.

I'm thinking of running HL Paco or Lucic. I think Paco would have a better finishing ability but I haven't used either so.. We'll see how this goes.

Does anyone have HL Lindback? Is he any good?

im running regular lindback and like him for the most part.

HL Lindback goes for around 30k are there better goalie options or will I be fully satisfied with HL Lindback?

Egg personally I'd debate picking up duchene for a first line centre. His speed on base card may not look threatening but he's super quick. If you could afford hl I'd advise it

Anybody know some fast players who don't get knocked off the puck easily? Brad Marchand is one of those players and I love him, he is fast, small and has good balance.

Completely rebuilt my team. sold every play starting at 50 pucks and ended up with 815k. im really liking my new team look and cant wait to play with em

Sochi St. Louis-Tavares-Perry
HL Kesler-Sharp-Hossa
Carter-Couture-MS Briere
Lupul-J. Staal-Parenteau

ROTY Gelinas-HL Timmonen
Mcdonagh-HL Carlson
M. Staal-HL Hamilton

WC Bernier
Blank

my goal was to buy people whom I have never used and it went 100 percent to plan aside from Bernier, now I just need another goalie and im good to go!

I have a reg duchene now, I've been using him as my 2Lw. I might even slot him in with Joe and Burns because he is usually fantastic for me, but my offense has dried up lately so I'm trying anything.

And haha I wish I could afford HL Duchene. I mean I could but I'd have to gut a few pieces on my team. I need to do the last few NHL collections and maybe create another side.

Yeah I need to do a ton of collections myself. I just redid my team and my offence has been through the roof

I got Bergy and Sochi Kesler for centers. Ideas for the other two slots? I'm not going to get rid of Bergy since I have his jersey.

He either shuts them out completely or gets lit up like a Christmas tree. I still haven't found a solid #1 for me yet.

I really enjoy koivu at centre. Decent faceoffs and his passes always seem to connect perfectly for me

TOTY 96 Zetterberg (A) - TOTY 96 Tavares (C) - MS 91 Hall (A)
HL 90 Vanek - HL 90 Pavelski - HL 89 Plekanec
90 Nash - HL 90 Stall - HL 87 Grbaner
HL 87 Okposo - SC 87 Johansen - HL 87 Henrique

SC 89 Timonen - HL 91 Girardi
SC 86 Fowler - HL 90 Seabrook
HL 89 Hedman - HL 89 Myers

MS 90 Brodeur
Nabokov (temporary)

Looking to upgrade on 1st line RW... Any advice ? Chances are it would be in a trade/sell

I have the MS Hall and a SC P. Martin to make a move with...roughly the 2 are worth 300k

Was thinking of moving JT to RW instead also. Thoughts ? And also trade offers ?

Xbox

For others looking to add new talent...look into SC Johansen SC Timonen and SC fowler. all have played better then expected and won't break the bank. Also the MS brodeur has been decent

This is the problem i have with my regular Lindback, he either stands on his head, or gets as you just said lit up like a christmas tree..

Looks solid! Tough 4th line to play against lol.
I've always loved using Gaborik, but I felt I needed a change of pace as he hadn't scored much for me past the first 5-6 games, and the few games I used Kane he was fantastic but I didn't have enough pucks to keep him. One day though. I've been thinking about getting a Toews. or a Stamkos for my wing

Gaborik is the first move I'm making when I get some pucks. May move 1st line wingers to second line and grab a stammer or ovechkin for a first line wing

And although my fourth line is a big bodied line you'd be amazed how many goals they rack up. Can strip the pucks from any of them with hits. Get the puck low and look for the quick pass out front. Works every time

I've always had more success with Stamkos in versus play, dating back to Nhl 12. Maybe even 11. So that's going to be my first addition. I'm hoping to do some farming this weekend.

I've always had success with big bodies, I'm not always the greatest at avoiding hits so being strong on the puck is pretty essential to my game. I'm going to try Hfc Parise out right after my HL Backstrom experiment.

Yeah would be a solid addition. I need to do some farming myself if you ever have any collections I'll gladly rent them. I need just about all of them.

It really is, I've gotten a bit of a method down to the point where I can usually complete one in ten to fifteen minutes provided all the players are on the market. I've found farming between two accounts to be the most annoying as you have to constantly activate the other as a lead profile but what can ya do

I just played the craziest game. I had 1 game left and I needed 2 points to not be relegated to D2, which I'll take for my first season in D1.

Down 2-0 going into the third despite out time on attacking, out shooting and out passing severely I was feeling the pressure. Started off with my third line and his D backed off and let me walk into the hash marks and callahan buried it. Then Chimera scored right off a PK by out muscling the guy and cutting inside. OT starts and my new HL Backstrom and Voracek get the puck toward the net. On the goal line backstrom does a little spinorama and the puck bounces of Price's skate and in.

Wow. I'll take it. My HL gustavvson came up huge for me a few times too

Sick man congrats! I'm going to flip all my players to another acc and then reset my team as my record is horrendous now but I barely stay in div 1

Started up a new team. Been killing it in the lower divisions I think I'm like 20-3 now.

Team is looking like:
E. Kane- Cammalleri -Stempniak
Foligno- Filppula- J. Williams
Granlund-Vermette- Ward
Bronze 4th line

Meszaros-Garrison
Jackman-Polak
Lindholm-Volchenkov

Dipietro
S. Mason

Nothing special, but I like it so far.

So I did some buying and selling and added a few pieces - with devastating results. I got swamped in D3 where previously I'd been solid, usually staying up if not always comfortably.

I really wanted Getzlaf and managed to pick him up for a cheeky 40k so I was planning to move Couture out to the wing - I also picked up HL/Sochi versions of Simmonds and Ryan thinking they would be an upgrade on Marchand and Voracek but yeah, i got utterly destroyed.

Anybody want to suggest where on HUT I should look to next and suggest a reorganisation of these lines? Selling off the extras should make about 60k and I have about 45k and a load of teams to sell off so a player/players up to 100-150k are within my reach - Thornton, HL Lucic and Weber would've probably be my next unwise buys if I'd had the puck$.

C - HL Krejci (a), HFC Bergeron (a), Kesler, Getzlaf, Couture
LW - HL Marchand, HL Simmonds, Pacioretty, Duchene, Lucic, J Staal, HL Chimera, E Kane
RW - Burns, RTS Berglund, HL Callahan, RTS Ryan, Voracek, St Louis, RTS Ruutu

LD - HL Garrison, RTS Fowler, HL Gardiner, McDonagh
RD - ROTY Gelinas, RTS Voynov, Myers (c), HL Shattenkirk

G - RTS Lehtonen, Schneider, Bishop

Wisdom from the board appreciated as ever.

How were you getting beat? Were they faster? Could you knock them off the puck? That really decides what upgrades you need to look at
