It's a good thing Hagelin doesn't floss, amirite

The first two periods weren't awful by any means, but I think it took them a little bit to get their playoff legs going.

Good to see the PP connect in a clutch situation.

1 down, 3 to go, 15 to go.

Despite not getting on the score sheet, 4th line was the best line of the game. That line was the reason the Ranger won the game.

4th line frustrated the hell out of Flyers big guns.

This is why I argued we should keep Richards the extra year. Worth the injury risk for the power play boost.

Great win but we still need to win Sunday. Philly will be a different team at home.

Big win. We definitely needed this first game if only to keep the mystique of the Garden in the Flyers' heads. Keep them questioning whether they can actually beat us when we're home.

All the talk of getting rid of fighting in hockey

How about you get rid of the nonsense like at the end of that game & headhunting.

McDonagh was definitely rusty in the first period, but really came into his own in the second.

Don't get too cocky. Rangers still got another game at home they need to win. Not to mention, the Flyers play way better in their own building.

Set the tone for the series. Didn't back down from their crap, but kept our composure and made them pay.

My 3 stars:

1. Richards
2. Staal
3. MZA

Unlucky: MSL, 4th line, J Moore
