Burmistrov has changed his agent, possibly with the intention of returning to the NHL. If he isn't welcomed back in Winnipeg, what would you offer?

This isn't the same Jets Burmistrov left, I bet IF he comes back, he stays this time. But changing agents wouldn't signal that necessarily.

From the sounds of Chevy's most recent interview it seems like the Jets would not be opposed to bringing him back.

Would be a nice pick up for the jets. They need someone to push Schifele

I'm not really sure how to value him. 3rd round pick maybe and possibly or another questionable prospect.

It's probably best for him to play for Winnipeg if they want to trade him but he might struggle to find time behind Schiefele and Little.

He just seems like a guy who hadn't really "broken out" yet before he left so I can't see teams lining up to offer a lot for him.

At this point he's a maybe who might be a nice surprise but wouldn't be worth a huge asset.

He's too good a player for them to not take back. He took his time off, hopefully grew up and realized he had a good thing. If everyone kisses and makes up they'll be fine.

Don't know if changing agents means he's coming back. Unless it was his agents idea in the first place?

His problem was with the coach, wasn't it?

Jannik Hansen. High end 3rd line RW, very good longterm contract and married a girl from Winnipeg - believe he spends his summers there...

The Canucks need to get younger. This is a good move for both sides IMO.

Jets should keep him. He's a good player still on his ELC, right ?

Very unlikely given Maloney's current aversion to Russians, but Korpikoski and a 3rd.

Nope. KHL cannot poach players anymore (nor can NHL). Since the Radulov deal the KHL and NHL have an MOU to respect each other's contracts. Any player with a valid NHL contract is not going to KHL. Before you say it Kovalchuk pulled some shennanigans so that he DIDN'T have a valid contract.

Burmistrov is RFA. Jets hold his rights for 3 more seasons if he doesn't sign then he becomes UFA.

Ian Cole + middle round pick. Buffalo 3rd?(assuming we re-sign miller prior to draft)
