His value is low, Jets will keep him and see what he's got to give next season, then reassess at the trade deadline. By then they'll have a general sense of what they've got on their hands and can make a sound decision on whether or not he has a role in their organization.

Flipping him after reacquisition seems a bit like jumping the gun.

Bingo. And that's assuming he comes back. Its still a lot of conjecture at this point.

On the Rangers board I thought something like:

John Moore + prospect(Kristo?) for Alexander Burmistrov

Would make some sense. (2) very young players. Jets get a LHD who can skate very well and has some offensive upside and plays a 2-way game. Rangers get a young 3c who can take over for when Richards is bought out.

I think we need to keep him for a year or more and see what he can do. His trade value is too low to move him at the moment. He was very defensively sound but did not produce offensively enough in the KHL or NHL to attract anything significant...plus he also left the us to play in the KHL instead of working through his issues with the organization which imo will also lower his trade value.

What? What does this even mean?

I'd like him to compete with Kadri for the 2nd line spot in Toronto. The one who can't play a 200 foot game and provide offence would get bumped down. Not sure what a fair offer would be, though, for a guy seemingly on the outs with the Jets organization.

How about Erhoff, Enroth, and either Foligno or Stewart for Kane and Burmistrov.? Sabres could also add 2nd round pick. If Erhoff won't waive his NTC than we could substitute Hodgson or Ennis

For all you Leafs fans, the Jets have absolutely NO interest in Riemer.Every trade proposal made always includes Riemer and the Leafs. Its getting very old already, please stop.

Judging by the offers the Jets are way better off keeping him.

I'd offer a 4th rounder. He's a risk just like Filatov

But Filly don't do rebounds, Burmi does.

If the Jets can sign him there's absolutely no reason to even consider trading him at this point.

Looks good to me. If Carolina's willing to take Pavelec, what's not to like from a Jets' perspective?

The fact that Ward's contract is worse, Ward is more injury prone, and has been declining year after year just like Pavelec?

Also Burmistrov is better than Tlusty imo.

So this could easily be lose/lose for Winnipeg.
