He's proving he's not built for the playoffs. Fine against butter soft teams like Tampa and invisible when we need him.

DD's entire line has been near useless the entire playoffs.

Plays somewhat worse in the playoffs. Can't believe people don't see through his lack of fundamentals - he's not a 1st line centre.

I spent most of the past three seasons being a bear on Desharnais, and was finally starting to like him at the end of the season, I figured maybe he was sufficiently compensating for his lack of fundamentals.

Unfortunately, no, he has the right tools to beat up on AHL teams and weaker NHL teams, but he's been awful these playoffs, he's been our weakest link, I'm disappointed.

I really don't think he's been bad this playoffs. I also think this is basically what he is - a .5 PPG player who lives and dies according to his linemates.

He has been decent defensively too.

The biggest problem is he cannot be the best player on his line if we want to be effective. Pacioretty is snakebit.

And when Pacioretty is snakebit, he floats. I don't know why.

He's so dominant when he skates hard.

He and his buddy Max Pac are one-dimensional.

DD is working hard but he just has too many deficiencies to be effective against the best, and Boston are one of the best.

The one thing that has been good about Patches these playoffs is his play on the defensive side of the puck ...

Yes good, he's doing the bare minimum on the back-check, every Habs forward is. Work-rate is not the issue here, effectiveness is.

He's not taking it upon himself to drive at the Bruins D and mix it up with them. Borque, Eller, Gallagher & Bournival are doing this. No surprise they are the best Habs forwards in this series. 1.88m & 98kg and he wants to float on the perimeter hoping from perfect passes from DD. They're not going to come against a team this good.

Poor guy, tries hard, but too weak. having him and plekachu as top2 center is a complete disaster. year after year, the same thing happens. very disappointing.

He's useless. My frail 82 year-old aunt is stronger than him.

Hmm, funny how he's gone from an "elite playmaker with superb vision who's the catalyst behind Pacioretty and Gallagher and Vanek" to a "solid player who requires good linemates."

Is he a 60 point player or a 40 point player?

"0.5 ppg" implies he's a 40 point player in a typical year.

Plekachu and DD are at least trying while some big names are just floating around.
That's the problem with this playoff.

His stats vs boston the last 3 years are some of the best on the ream.

That doesn't excuse the performance of his line this series but historically he hasn't been bad vs boston.

Can't really lump Plekanec and DD together. Plekanec is playing against the bruins top line and is near a point per game in the playoffs. DD has 1 point in 5 games as a pure offense guy who can't be used in any other role.

Does your aunt want to play vs Chara? There's a spot on the LW, C and RW.

Not his fault, Pacioretty isn't carrying him right now.
