If you can play a game 7 like that, your a top 6 center in the league.

Him and Gallagher were huge on the game winner.

The dirty little secret is that DD was awesome for the Habs after his slow start. He has been unfairly criticized on this board.

Doesn't matter though. His game tonight was epic.

He was incredibly impressive tonight. And then somehow, so was Pacioretty. They feed out of each other it's scary. Just get a room or something....

The guy woke up when the team needed him most. Thank you DD for such a heroic performance at the right time. His heart an effort the last two games exemplifies what being a Montreal Canadien is all about.

He played big tonight and proved me wrong. Hope he keeps on playing like this.
I will be hard on him but will always want him to do well. Can't wait to see him kill the rangers.

DD with the leadership role.

Watch the handshake by Lucic. DD grabs Emelin and stares down Lucic.

DD with the "C" next season?

For all the smack I have talked about Desharnais, there have been times where even I thought he was legitimately "great". Tonight was one of those nights.

Unfairly criticized from the start honestly. Can still be upgraded, that much is fair to say.

my DD doubts crept back midway through the series but I think tonight he got rid of them for good.

so much heart tonight.

The kid can play a little bit.

I have never seen the pace of his game so elevated for such a sustained stretch as these 11 playoff games.

He's shown a defensive element that even most of his supporters didn't know that he had.

He has yet to make the adjustment to his passing game which his higher skating speed requires. He's a bit off. Hopefully that adjustment will come this series. Or, perhaps, the Rangers won't require his highest gear all the time and the adjustment won't be needed.

I loved his reaction to the Pacioretty goal. It was in the "it's about ****ing time" category at both himself and #67.

The PP scheme is so Subban-at-the-point-centric that no one is going to look very good on it....except for Subban.

DD made a very nice pass to Markov when #79 cut toward the net on a 3rd period PP. He needs player movement to show his passing skills. The Canadien forwards are about as mobile as statues on the PP.

The scheme of the Habs PP ain't gonna win any creativity awards. But, its been pretty effective in the post season.....10 for 38 (26.3%) so it's working for the team and that's all that matters.

In fact, the PP could be a huge advantage as the Ranger PP is chugging along at a sad 10.9%. They're only 6 for 55 on the PP in the post season.
