- Fasth getting his first NHL point
- 2 PP goals
- Zucc with some magic
- Richards with 3 points
- MSL still 2 assists despite being unlucky

Great game and love how we took advantage of the PP

Thank you rangers. Bruins fan that bid 500 bucks on this game and came out with 2875! Great game great effort! go RANGERS! Since bruins is the underdog on bodog.com had to put 2000 on my bruins in game one though. referral code P273B4AB1

GO RANGERS. Putting the rest of my winnings for the rangers to take game two as well! OH YA!

This game went exactly as expected. Flyers have alot of bark, not enough bite.

Don't let up, this should be over in 4 or 5 games.

I like this team a lot, and if Brad plays this well the whole playoffs it is going to be hard to see him go. Definitely want Boyle and Poo back...but I also would like to see some young guys pushing for spots in training camp again.

Strong game 1. Gotta be happy. What did Philly have for most of third one shot??? Also the fact is that Emery didn't play terrible. We deserved game one!

It's 1-0. I don't think they've given up on trying to win the series.

Why isn't Hagelin's Bloody Lip one of the poll options?

It's not being cocky to say that the Rangers are a better team. If you look at the Flyers, what are their options for changing things up?
If they are smart, they will not take the option of trying to bash the Rangers into submission. If the coaching staff is smart, they will try to counter by being more diligent in the neutral zone. The Flyers do not play that game, though, so I don't think they will do that either.

Really, they have to hope the Rangers play poorly. That could happen, let's face it, it could. But over 7 games? I doubt it.

Well, I'm a routine "click it off the second the buzzer sounds" guy unless it's the playoffs, and 1987 was a long time ago

Our game is the lowest scoring game in the play-offs so far

Just saw the goals.

What a pass by Richie to Steps on the 3rd goal, and what a shot by Richie for his goal.

Looks like he had a good game.

edit- and gotta say too, awesome pass by Nash on Brad's goal.

BTW, I haven't see that poster that said we can't win when we don't score first, in a while.

The Flyers tried it in our last regular season meeting. No after the whistle scrums, no trash talking; just smart, sound hockey.

It didn't work and they have revisited the old strategy.

BTW, going back to the regular season. Since the poor defensive Flames game we've allowed:

0, 1, 2, 3, 1, 1, 1, 1. That's 10 goals in 8 games, 5 of which were without McDonagh and one without McDonagh, Girardi, and Hank.

It's funny I remember him telling everyone who would listen how he'll come back and brag every time we lose after we give up the first goal. Now that's a fan, bragging about us losing because it supposedly proves his illogical argument correct.

Yes, you are right about that. They did. I remember thinking how odd it was.

It must feel strange being a Philadelphia Flyer knowing that you are a team that can get by some teams with your tactics, but are totally bamboozled by really good fundamental hockey. One thing cannot be forgotten, though, and that is the fact that the Rangers are actually a pretty deep team, much deeper than I can recall them being for quite some time. As Rangers fans, we no longer laugh at some of the players and wish they were gone (unless their last name is Falk, in my own personal experience).

was at the game tonight. fantastic game and win. so many good things in all around team effort:

- Rangers needed top players to show up .. richards, msl, nash had good games

- Rangers defense solid - 1 shot allowed in third period

- absolutely dominating puck possession

- flyers showed themselves to be exactly what we expected, poor defense, weak goaltending and undisciplined

- ranger forward and defensive depth was very visible. all lines and all pairing played well. i thought klein and moore had very quietly strong game

- AV absolutely outcoached AV Berube

- Giroux invisible

Only game 1, and things change quickly in playoffs, but this showed some fundamental Rangers strengths. Lets hope to see them again on Sunday.
