Brunette sitting out again to rest up shoulder. He says it's not surprising, and the recovery was expected to take a while. Should be in for the start of the season, though.
Walz will play tonight (go Wes!), centering Antti and Brent Burns. I hope Burnsie can keep up!
This could be the reporter's spin, but it sounds like Burns may stick around a while:
'Lemaire said he would carefully plug Burns into the lineup during the regular season, as he did last year with Pierre-Marc Bouchard, who played 50 games as an 18-year-old.
"We'll find teams that we feel he can have some success against and we'll play him," Lemaire said.'
Because of the Bouchard comparison, that makes it sound like Burns will get more than the 10 game contract limit, but maybe I'm reading more into it than I should be.
Also sounds like Foy, Brandner, Daigle, and Veilleux will likely skate tonight.
