What pisses me off is that after scoring the first 2 goals this series could have been over in 4. The Flyers were reeling, ****ing reeling. We were in their heads. Then our 2 best players decided to be clowns and that's all she wrote. I seriously think of McDonagh more highly than any player that has played for us since the lockout (not that he's better than Jagr, but he's semi-home grown and I think he has ridiculous potential), but he really let me and his team down today. Took a **** on this team with his ****ing goalie friend. However, I don't have a very high opinion of Hank to begin with. Once the playoffs start it's not a question of if he'll blow it but when.

And not coincidentally, we haven't won a Cup since 1994.

Spend all your energy and resources in the early rounds is not how to win.

Or, it could be 3-1 Rangers...or the series could be tied.

I'm not going to sit and talk about theoretical situations, my point and it's perfectly valid is that several posters are overreacting as usual. If you want to be pessimistic go for it I couldn't care less. I sure hope our players have more heart than some of you.

Wish Kreider was healthy. He could have possibly off-set Nash being invisible. So far he looks like a big game player. I also recall him getting under the Flyers skin early in the season.

Nash is not a winning player. I don't care about the Olympics. He's not a NHL winning player.

How can you guys lay the blame on Hank? Which goal should he have had?

I would have liked to see him stop the third goal, but it would have been an extremely tough save.

The 3rd.

I'm not pinning the first one on him as G could have walloped Voracek.

Yeah except this series could be over in 5, which apparently isn't valid in your opinion since you're assuming it's going to go 7 regardless.

Anyone that thought we would sweep the Flyers is nuts.

So when you're proven wrong AGAIN, you just come up with "this team is not that team". At least my posts are negative rantings, your posts are just wrong and you won't even admit it when you're wrong.

Since the 04-05 lockout the average number of games played in the first round by the eventual champion is 5.9 so this is not a true statement.

Nash had multiple excellent scoring chances after an invisible first period.

Not that concerned about playing in Philly. We kind of set a franchise record for road wins.

He was close. But the first shot is from very close by. Every goalie in the league gives up that rebound.

It seems some of you guys just dump on him whatever he does. Talk about ungrateful. Look at your opponent in this round and their goalies for the last 10 years.

If Stepan scores, series is probably over.

Instead, Emery stops the puck, but flubs the save and somehow Voracek gets behind McDonagh and scores into a four inch open spot.

Typical Ranger bad luck.

Then they get scared and forget how to play.

The thing is we were able to play against their backup the first two games, and who hasn't been too stellar in that role, where we could have had a commending lead in the series, and the Flyers going back to Philly with 0 momentum.

It's not so much a foregone conclusion that the series is over, but they just made it a little more difficult for themselves.

My prediction is still Rangers in 5.

But they need to wake up for it to happen. It was a pathetic performance and pathetic effort today.

They need to skate, they lost too many races to pucks. They need to get back to possessing the puck. They couldn't handle the puck today. They need to start winning key faceoffs again. Thursday they won something like 60+ percent, today was brutal.

The power play was sloppy today.

Today was the antithesis of what makes this team successful.

This team has also shown a strong bounce-back ability after poor efforts. I expect a much better effort in Game 3.

All right this is ridiculous, he sucked but he also had an assist on the first goal. There were worse players on this team.

An invisible 1st in which he made a nice play to get the puck to Stepan who set up MSL's goal.

He was definitely partially to blame for the first.

His positioning was really, really bad (it's why he couldn't push off the post). It's a mix of McD and Hank on that goal. I thought Girardi played it fine.
