Typical Ranger bad luck.

Then they get scared and forget how to play.
This series is over if we end period one up 2-0. The Flyers had no life, they had a little push back to start the game until we made them look like clowns on 2 goals. 2-0 going into the 2nd, this series is likely over.

It's not so much a foregone conclusion that the series is over, but they just made it a little more difficult for themselves.
Funny, people are acting as if it's a forgone conclusion.

Do you know what playing against a goalie with a weakness does to a team? Makes them try and expose that weakness. The Rangers spent too much time trying to get Emery moving especially on the PP. They needed more point shots and traffic in front, it got too pretty.

I'd much rather face a recently concussed Mason than Emery again. This team beat themselves in that regard.

Girardi could have easily stepped up and smacked Voracek back to Philly.

They need to skate, they lost too many races to pucks. They need to get back to possessing the puck. They couldn't handle the puck today. They need to start winning key faceoffs again. Thursday they won something like 60+ percent, today was brutal.

The power play was sloppy today.

Today was the antithesis of what makes this team successful.
Yup...they went brain dead in the 2nd period.

We didn't possess the puck though :-|. Only had about 60% of the shot attempts.

You're talking about the Rangers, so I don't know how valid your claim can be about exploiting weaknesses.

Why couldn't this team just lose a ****ing game without being up 2-0? That's what drives me crazy. Seriously, 4-2 loss, whatever, but they had 2-0 lead. If we just lost the game I wouldn't be upset like this. The team just has a knack of breaking fans' hearts. I was a ****ing baby (ok, 7) when they won the cup, if you're 74 years old, you have 1 cup in your lifetime. This team is a sick joke on Rangers fans. One of the worst franchises in sports.

No, the series is over when one team wins 4 games. Your expectations are way too high if you think they weren't going to lose a game to Philly. Doesn't matter in what fashion. I'm upset that they squandered a 2-0 lead as well but to say the series is over is ridiculous.

That is absolute BS based in nothing.

The Flyers just barely, BARELY finished under the Rangers. Winning both home games doesn't/wouldn't meant hat they were totally done.

How and why does anybody expect a playoff series to be so easy?

I had hopes of winning the series convincingly after game 1.

Now I just hope we make it out.

The quality of the shots in the 2nd and 3rd period were crap for the most part.

It's about creating more pressure than necessary.

Win this game and lose Game 3? So what? You still have the series lead.

Lose this game and possibly Game 3? Now, you better hope you regain that scoring form..fast.

Wow. Jimmy Howard just gave Boston a goal. Lol. His puck handling was worse than Hank's, there.

He wasn't as close as you think and had to cover the trailing man since it was more likely Voracek was going to pass it. He played it fine.

That statement has nothing to do with whether or not we possessed the puck enough. It's also false. Stepan great chance from the left side. McDonagh similar. Nash with multiple chances including the one right in front that got knocked down. St. Louis a good chance. Moore a good chance that he missed the net on. Zucc a tremendous chance.

No NHL goaltender is a scrub. Every goaltender in the league has the ability to shut an opponent down. If anyone felt Emery was going to be a push over they were severely mistaken.

May I suggest you rewatch the game? What do you consider quality? An empty net?
