I couldn't watch the game. Did Giroux play well? I don't see a whole lot of him on the scoresheet and i'm wondering if he did ok or not.

Amazing game, feeding into the Comeback Kids theme.

The Giroux line looked a lot better today, but that wasn't saying much; they were still poor overall. Vinny back with Schenn and Simmonds worked well for a while, but Vinny is so lazy coming back on defense. Couturier's line was fantastic again and great to see Akeson given the opportunity on the powerplay and not nailed to the pine for the Game 1 penalty.

The penalty kill was excellent after the goal allowed; Hall, Raffl and Read all had key moments on the PK.

The refs were brutal, but it went both ways. Seemed a little in favour of New York, but they got boned on a few calls themselves.

Emery was fantastic when called upon; the team collapsed a bit better around him to not allow the cross ice passes that were killing them, and Emery did a great job positionally after the adjustments. Deserved #1 star today.

If Mason ready does he go or stick with Emery? Emery deserve the start but I think if Mason ready you have to play him.

If Mason is 100% you roll with him.

Damn! I thought the game would be an evening game. Typical sunday afternoon game in New York. Bummed I missed it. Pretty damn happy with the win though!

It is whiplash... he was close to going but felt strain in the last ten mins of practice so decided not to go basically. He practiced for ~50mins and was ok... you do not let a guy with a concussion do so.

Haha, that might originally be from HF. From a terrible missed call during a Caps series

I think the Rangers were caught off guard by the intensity the Flyers showed after the score was 2-0. Flyers forecheck may have softened them up a bit for the series. We'll find out in the next two games.

It's great if it's confirmed to just be that. This series is important and all but you really don't want to risk a goalie with a concussion and have it snowball.

I don't think the Rangers were caught off guard by our intensity. Intensity is what we're designed as a team to do well. The Rangers are designed to wear you down in the neutral zone, and we're designed to pressure from the corners and along the walls in the offensive zone.

After we started hitting people on the far corners to win puck battles back along the walls to the point, we controlled the pace of the game.

We started doing that after going down 2-0.

Since the Flyers don't have a history in ****ing up players with concussions, yeah...

Mason is too important going forward to **** this up, I hope the Flyers medical staff is up to their task here.

Huge win. That was awesome. We should capitalize both home games and I think It is very possible at home against the Rangers. We have to jump on them and play with absolutely level of physicality. I loved Giroux effort in game 2.

What a game!
The crow was a delicious part of my Easter meal. Emery made the excellent adjustment of anticipating pass as the game wore on. His angles were very good and he made himself big to block the close-in shots. The defense was also great in blocking out Rangers and limiting slot chances as the game went on.

That being said, I 100% go with Mason when he is ready.

Two minutes for enveloping.

I love how Coburn keeps both hands on his stick right through Zuccarello, and was able to play the puck. It had to be called, but man did Coburn nullify him.

No kidding. McDonagh had let the puck go, Simmonds was fighting HIM off to get to it on the boards.

Same with Coburn's great defensive play on Suckarello. Basically body slammed him, how was that a friggin' penalty?

At least they got the divers for two diving/embellishment calls.

Giroux was very good. Didn't get credited with a shot, but I'm sure he had one for sure later in the game. Also got two A+ prime shots from the slot blocked by Hartnell standing in front of the net!

The Flyers started to play their game yesterday. They can play better. A good game from Emery in Game 3 would give Mason until Friday to get healthy too.
