Savard from Robitaille and Kaberle with 9 seconds to go in the 1st. PP goal.

2-1 Nashville.

I'll get the Nashville goals for you momentarily.

Jamie Allison has a bruised chest and won't play the rest of the game. We are going with 5 Dman for the second time in the past 3 games.

PP goal, embarrassing Pk so far from the Preds. I'd love to see the preseason numbers but I swear we have given up a PP in every game save for the first.

Goal scored by Savard.

I see this as being a huge weakness for us going into the season. Although I usually am not too fond of Houlder, Houlder was extremely reliable on the PK. Skrastins was our second most reliable. Hulse was OK, when he didn't get us another penalty. That's a lot of minutes that will have to be accounted for. York is a given (when healthy). Timonen will get more time on the PK, but he will border on being worked too much. After that, it looks like a much of rookie dman will be faced with the task of shutting down Forsberg, Bertuzzi, Federov, Modano, Gaborik, Sanderson, Yzerman, etc.

Agreed. This can be our achilles heel if we let it. However, we...dammit...another PP goal for the Thrashers. Kovalchuk.

To continue, we were one of the least penalized teams last year. We will have to continue this. Our PK is going to be weak it seems. No way around this for now. York, Kloucek, Schnabel and Eaton might be our PP Dmen?

If it keeps up like this, you might see some major benchings for undisciplined players.

We were #10 in the NHL in times shorthanded. However, we were 15th in PP goals allowed.

Whelp, we just gave Atlanta their 8th man advantage of the night. I wouldn't be suprised if we are going out of our way to take penalties so we can get practice

Score by Piros! PP goal. Maybe we should fire our PK coach?

4 of 8, embarrassing.

Agreed, but there is a constant fear that we won't just turn the PK on in the regular season.

The only good thing about the PK, yes I can find something good, is that Murray, Johnson, Timonen (is he on the PK?) weren't playing tonight. Had they been playing, we may have only allowed 1-2 PP goals, not this 4 PP goal crap.

Anyways, 10 penalties in a game is unexcusable.

At least in our 40 minutes of even strength/PP time we held them scoreless.

Yeah Tootoo got himself a goal! It's looking more and more like he will be here Oct.9.

First game in which Hartnell has not scored. Considering the game, I guess it's expected.

How bad is Allison's chest bruise? Will he be back Saturday?

Thank God it's only preseason.

Relax, as you said we only had 5 dmen anyway, and I imagine Walker, Murray (our first pk line) didn't play much tonight on the penalty kill. We've always done a decent job of killing penalties even when we had Kezcmer and Slaney on the penalty kill.

Agreed, some nghts your PK is off and we didn't send out our best soldiers though it appeared Atlanta did (save for Heatley). Still, it was really, really bad.

One observation from last night...

A few of the penalties were crap calls. I heard a couple of Thrasher fans even say some of those shouldn't have been called. It was a frustrating game to watch.
