That penalty was the opposite of a selfish play. He tried to beat a defender to the puck in the corner and maintain possession. For some unbeknownst reason he reached out and pulled him down which was incredibly dumb.

Period buzzer couldn't have come at a more crucial time.

NYR needed to get that 3rd goal... they will likely need 3 or more to win this one.

Hank has not made big saves at all. If we're going to make it further than this round, he has to step it up. McD has to be playing hurt...I can't see it any other way.

If Hank keeps it up, might not be opposed to giving Talbot a start. The team plays much stronger in front of him.
It's a disturbing trend.

Pouliot single handedly killed 3 min of our own powerplay and costed us a goal. Good game for him so far

Its all Stepans fault, he is the guy to blame in the regular season and everyone talks about how bad he has been in the first 2 games so why not just blame him for the Flyers goal.

If you can show me a goalie who can make that save... well... nevermind. No goalie will ever make that save.

Yeah, that would be the smart play.

Their momentum didn't come from the penalty.

It came from them capitalizing on a stupid turnover, during the 4 on 4

Pouliot needs to be benched.

And I say that as a big fan of him. His discipline, or lack there of, was costly in the first period.

Rangers should have had the PP, instead he evened things up, and the Rangers let a Grade A scoring chance into the back of the net.

Flyers have all of the momentum heading into the 2nd.

We are playing a sloppy, Flyers type of game. They are goating us into this stuff.

Send a message to the team, bench Pouliot for a period, let them know that discipline won't fly, and get team back on track.

I officially have no idea what's a dive and what isn't.

Terrible by Poo to put himself in those situations, but what an embarrassing period of hockey for the $6 million man Andy MacDonald.

That would have been a really tough save. Rangers d was broken on that play.

Forget hockey IQ, how about just plain old common sense.

Pouliot taking not one, but TWO absolutely moronic penalties on the Power Play.

Nobody is gonna take issue with girlie clearly attempting to obstruct Mac, taking him down and causing the goal?

Edit. Was gonna fix it but I'm psyched that my phone autocorrected giroux to girlie

So so so ****ing stupid and selfish play by Pouliot... Drop the gloves and fight like a man instead of taking 2 sissy penalties and giving up not 1 but 2 PPs and all momentum. Dumb ****ing idiot... the game was under total control.

No mental toughness whatsoever. AV better put his Frenchie nepotism aside and bench this scrub before he ****s up the series. Dumb POS.

. . . which came from the penalty. Therefore, their momentum and the penalty are permanently linked.

3 PP's not 1 goal. Lundqvist looks shakier than Emery.

I didn't think it was his fault. Sometimes a goalie will give up side to side goals, there's a reason players make side to side passes.

Pouliot needs to have his minutes cut and absolutely no time on the PP next period

Lundqvist has assisted on more Flyers goals than Giroux.
