I heard that Shero is petitioning to get Mario's statue replaced with Adams blocking a shot.

Blocking a shot or one of the times he manged to clear the puck.

Or that one time he had hands against Columbus.

honest question: has letang displayed his mean streak at all this season? i remember him being pound for pound a very physical presence in the defensive zone at times in years psat, but that aspect of his game seems completely absent post-stroke.

Crazy to think the guy manages to make almost 7 figures a year to rack up these accolades. As much as I hate him on my team, I'd love to be him!

As awful as Adams is, he looks Jesus Christ on skates compared to Glass.

It is disturbing that it seems like Adams has a playoff gear and Glass doesn't. Adams is still awful but he now has someone to make him look less awful in comparison. Those two are a special kind of terrible.

He was also a good player for the Canes.
Well, that seems to be the story of Pittsburgh sports right?

Hope Sid and Geno finally score a goal tonight. Between this series so far and that Bruins series last year, it's been ages since those two lit the lamp in the playoffs.

Not to change subject but damn, The SHARKS CURRENTLY LOOK unbeatable.

We have trouble with CBJ and they shred the best defensive team in the league. Something you all should think about.

Nothing like relying on a 19 year old to cover for Letang's horrible decisions.

Go Pens. Lets hope tonight is the night we turn it around and get it going... we just gotta get to our game!

Yeah they switched last game. Nice to see DB keeping something together that worked.

Should we think about it because they are constantly deemed underachievers in the playoffs and often are told they should blow up their roster after each playoff failure?

Should we think about it because their GM constantly resigns players past 35 to long contracts?

This board has been insufferable for over a year now...gawd remember when the highlight of an entire season was Morozov grabbing his jersey's logo...good times

One of my favourite Pens memories from when I was a kid. Morozov was great; though I was more of a Fata fan personally

Call me optimistic, but that 3rd period last game has me thinking that this team may have finally found their spark. They looked hungry for the first time in a long time. If that carries over today, and every game after that, we may not be out of lord Stanley's reach yet.

It's funny that the original post doesn't have the D pairings listed for us. Since none of them have decided to show up in this series, I can understand the omission!

Maatta paired with Letang?

I am feeling a Fleury meltdown moment tonight. Then again, I had the Bolts, Wings, Flyers and Kings winning last night. So don't quote me.

As long as Scuds' and Maatta's minutes are held in check, it should work. Scuds is best off in a minimal role at ES. And getting Maatta with Letang now is a smart move longterm.

Why? We want Maatta to develop all-round. Not be the guy who is forced to stay back and clean up all the messes 58 creates.

Letang's advanced numbers tend to look better with Maatta and Nisky seems to be the only option left to help Scuds not be horrible. I'd prefer Borts of course but hey, this combo seems like the best they can do if Scuderi is in the mix.
