Nice ! Crisp was a huh ? type of move at the draft but he seems like a late bloomer !

Edit: Carr put up decent points for Union College. Anyone got a scouting report on this kid ?

22 year old, 6'', 200 lbs. Put up PPG numbers at Union college throughout 4 years, and finished it off with a 50 pts in 39 games campaign.

If I'm not mistaken Carr played really well in the playoffs.

Carr's originally from Alberta. Could be a good bottom 6 shut down center

Crisp before Vail scare me.... That would be such a waste to not sign Vail!

I watched a ton of Union games just to watch Shayne Gostisbehere. So I got to see Carr a lot and he is a good player with a quick step (good acceleration). But mainly he just has a good shot. He played on one of the PP units (Union really does not have a 1PP or 2PP, both share equal time). He would be the trigger man in the PP and he was very good at picking that top left corner, and shooting through screens. He has the potential to be a good 3rd liner who maybe produces Matt Read numbers, but he is not that good defensively (he is prone to turnovers and does make some very questionable passes). He is a good pick up for Montreal.

You guys have a good one in Gostibehere by the way. That kid will be a fan favourite in Philly in no time.

Carr is a shoot-first winger. I don't get it

I hope so. Next year we just need some defenseman that don't handle the puck like a grenade (Grossmann)

Joe Meloni ‏@JoeMeloni 49 min
@MikeObrand Great two-way forward. Led national title team in scoring and voted best D forward in his league.

I guess that seals it, Vail won't be signed.

Could be, if so then I won't be too mad now that we've snatched up a (possibly superior) prospect for free to replace him. As far as I can recall, Timmins is 100% so far on not signing prospects. As in the guys we don't keep never pan out (ex: McDonagh doesn't count).

Excited to see what Crisp can bring to the NHL. He's got a real knack for scoring "dirty" goals from what I've seen.
