I'm considering buying this to hold me over for the summer. Mostly play BAGM and some online games. Should I buy it or just not even touch it?

get it if you like toronto always trying to trade reimer and like seeing prospects on the waiver wire+any player above 6'1 can deck any player across the ice

I never see any "prospects" on the waiver wire unless it's a 24 year old 3.5 red star.

Why is it in Online Versus Matches, people will occasionally switch to the goaltender at the last second on a breakaway or a rush? Sometimes they'll make the goalie do something really stupid and unpredictable and throw me off... but this last game I played, 3 times the guy changed to him and all 3 times I easily deked around him and scored.

Seems like such a stupid tactic. I appreciate the stupidity behind it, and the free goals... but are people just really this stupid?

I love this video. I can't play a drop in game without getting a message after the game saying "you only glitch goal you ****ing loser".

Completely open, teammate passes me the puck, drag back a wrist shot and shoot it from the slot, glitch goal. RT + back -> up (the one timer) off the faceoff goes in short side, glitch goal. Kick forehand backhand, glitch goal. Slap shot from the slot opposite side, glitch goal. I've played plenty of people who go for hits the whole game, give me 2 on 0s, it's 6-0 by the end of the first period all on one timers, glitch goals. It's hilarious. Some of them are just idiots, like the last example, but I have no idea why dragging back a wrist shot when you're wide open and have a great shot is a "glitch goal". I'm not dragging it in for 5 seconds, too, I drag it back quick and shoot to give it more power and accuracy.

Bacon did a really good job summing up 70% of the NHL community.

We had a club match and this ended up happening. The most bizarre and yet hilarious moment.

Everyone keeps saying that all these awesome prospects keep ending up on the waiver wire but I've never seen anyone mind blowing end up on waivers or even in free agency. I'm about 12 years into a Be A GM game and free agency is usually crap.

I had Magnus Hellberg starting in the AHL at 80 overall at the beginning of the second season. After 35 games he went up to 86 overall (with only 3.5 red potential)! Seeing this, I traded away my starting goalie, Darcy Kuemper in the NHL (84 overall) and called up Hellberg. By the end of the playoffs (lost in the 3rd round) Hellberg reached 93 overall. Super happy that I just found my franchise goalie I signed him to a 5 year deal worth $7.5 million a season. This was great and all, until I saw that at the beginning of the next season he had dropped back down to 80 overall. I now have an 80 overall goalie signed to a long-term deal worth $7.5 million.

NHL is cruel.

Can I have my EASHL profile on multiple consles? Because I have the same PSN but the character is completely different and starting from scratch.

Sorry to hear about that. That's always the issue with signing a player to big contract like that when they have went up during the season.

Yes, but you have to copy the profile data every time you want to play on a different console, as all the progress to your player is stored locally.

On online versus, everybody on XBOX picks LA.. This game is so boring now because the last 9 players I played against were all LA.

The idea is one of:
A. They think you're going to glitch the goalie, so if they go manual goalie it's not an automatic goal.
B. By switching to manual goalie, they generally make you change what you're going to do, with not much time to think it out.
C. The best thing I've seen people do is switch to manual goalie then switch it back. It's the same idea of B, but by the time they switch back, you may not be able to go back to how you were going to approach a computer goalie as your trajectory might have changed.

Generally though, most people who manual goalie have no idea what they're doing.

Does anyone here try and play a possession style game? I'm almost never successful when I try and always go back to run n' gun style. Anyone got tips or is it just easier to stick to speed?

You'll have to get used to passing it back into your own zone a lot and abusing the protect the puck button, but it's possible. Run n gun is much more successful.

Can I get some help finding where I go to request joining an EASHL team on here? I'm fairly new (under 100 games) to EASHL, but I consider myself an elite forechecking Forward that has great passing vision and great awareness. I just want to play with good players who play often.

I play on 360.

Yes, 77 overall with four red stars, didn't develop past a 79 overall for me.

The one thing I absolutley hate about this game is that players feel like they are skating in mud.

turning, stopping and starting, etc all feel crap.

Thanks! Doesn't sound ideal though development wise. Did you try editing him?

I have the exact opposite feeling. To me, all the players feel like they are sliding around on oil covered ice. Look at the video on post 31. The players do 360s on a dime and are constantly twirling and spinning. The skating feels like there's no weight to the players.
