Sam Rosen on the call. Rosen does the Bears pre-season games. NFL RedZone has all of the games tonight. Kenny Albert does the Redskin preseason games.

My dude Brandon Oliver with a great 1st preseason game for the Chargers last night. He's going to be a player in this league.

Anyone have eyes on Minnesota/Oakland? How does Mack look?

Box score says 2 tackles.

Considering just about every HB in the league is between 5'9 and 6'2, there isn't much difference between weight and build.

Want to see more of Andre Williams tonight more than anything. Would love to see the D-Line get more pressure on the QB, especially JPP. Kiwanuka had a strong game knocking down passes against Manuel, but need to get hits on the QB.

Not focusing too much on the LBs outside of Kennard. Think things will change dramatically there when Beason is back.

Want a better game out of Cooper Taylor.

Know it's not really in our offense this year, but I'd like to see Eli take some shots down field. The running game and short passes should be good to open up a play action for a shot to Cruz down field, right? I also recognize that real life is NOT Madden

Go G-men.

EDIT - Yikes. This could've been very bad:

"#Vikings say NT Linval Joseph was shot in calf as bystander outside Minneapolis bar last night. Minor injury, treated and released."

Mosley just mauled someone on that TD. I <3 our ZBS.

Would love if Jets traded for G Alex Boone from the 49ers. But the ESPN article I just read says that the Bucs and Giants are the teams that have inquired, so far.

Don't see why we would inquire.

Probably for the same reason that the Jets would be interested - Giants O-Line could improve.

So far this preseason it seems that our backups are infinitely better than other teams' backups. That's about it

Eli and the first-team still look uncomfortable in McAdoo's offense. Can't really waste any time in the regular season with only 16 games. Need to get this settled before week 1. I trust them to do it.

EDIT - Been very impressed with Nassib. His arm strength is great. If he can just work on pin-pointing he'll be a good player.

Did Syracuse play a similar offense to McAdoo's when Nassib was there? He seems very comfortable.

EDIT 2 - Hah! all the contact they've been calling all night and they let that go? It is preseason for everyone, I guess.

Uh. That wasent zone blocking at all. That was a trap.

If an offensive lineman pulls, it's not zone blocking

Corey Washington is making the Giants. Called him as my pre-season sleeper and he is still impressing. Big size, big speed, good hands.

But we don't have the cash. I'd rather roll with Mosley on the cheap than spend a **** ton on another guard.

It would just explain the inquiry. I'm sure there are ways to circumvent the cap, just like they did with DRC.

I just can't see the Giants paying another guard big money. A tackle? Sure. I'd get that. We don't mind paying tackles. But the guard better damn well be an all pro or close to it for us to shell out the cash.

Article says he can play both but he's been used as a guard w/ the 49ers.

So i'd assume they shift him there if they got him.

In any event, he's good, and he'd help improve the Giants or the Jets o-lines significantly.

I guess. He's a great lineman. I guess it would mean they aren't sold on Beatty.

I'm slightly nervous after watching the first Q of the Jets pre-season game.

At points they were severely overwhelmed by an average Indianapolis defense. I'd love for the Jets to get him.

Pipe dream, though. I'd predict the Giants swooping in under the radar at the last minute and stealing him from under our noses, just like they did DRC, more so than the Jets trading for him.

Live report from the game.

1. **** that ref. Seriously.

2. Offense still doesn't quite look in sync. That will come with time.

3. Defense looked pretty good, bend not break, they came up big when needed.

4. I was way too into the game, seriously, even after I sobered up by the 2nd quarter. Screaming my lungs out from the top row of MetLife lirl.

5. **** those refs.

Cox sorta reminds me of Woody Hayes' football but it's 1 yard and a cloud of dust.

Has this guy ever broken a tackle or made someone miss?

Please cut Cox the absolute worst runner I've ever seen

If they acquire Boone then they will have trouble retaining Prince or JPP next season.

Boone wants a long term deal. A 3rd-5th could get it done, but from a money standpoint it's a bind.

If they grab him, the line is set for the next 4-5 years, and the right side would be one of the best in the league.

He's actually reasonably capable as a runner. It's just he has a total lack of vision and patience. He doesn't follow his blocks at all

Not a good day of practice for the Jets. McDougle and Milliner carted off field with ankle injuries. Dee's looked particularly bad. Severity of injuries not yet known.
