It was a toss up between him, Pou and Dorsett, but I went with Boyle because I like the big doofus. And now, brace yourselves, Stepan will score on a 4 on 3 powerplay. Boom!

Here's what I'd like to see this game:
a) A Powerplay that stays in motion and goes hard to the net. That static ******** they pulled last game isn't going to be enough.
b) Line matching: We need to get our speedy forwards out against guys like Coburn, Timmonen and Gill. Keep playing Hagelin vs Gill, especially. The guy is just SO slow.
c) Pinching in from the blue line. I especially look at McDonagh, Stralman and, most of all, John Moore. Those guys have speed and some kind of offensive abilities. They need to do that more. In all honesty, I wouldn't mind seeing Diaz in there instead of Moore of Klein.
d) Forecheck, forecheck and more forecheck. The Flyers aren't exactly wizards at handling the puck in their own zone. I'd restrain from this strategy when Couturier is on the ice though. He really has a nose for the puck in his own end.
e) Kill their transition. The Flyers are one of the slower teams in the NHL. Kill them in the neutral zone, force them to dump the puck in. Our defenders should normally be the first ones to the puck. The only guys who could give us issues here are Voracek, Akeson and Raffl. Get McDonagh or Staal out against them.
f) Do not force the play through the middle if it's not there. IMO, this is what killed us in the 3rd period last game. It also gave the Flyers the possibility to counter attack a couple of times. When the Rangers figured out they have to be crowding Mason and get speed from the outside lanes, it was too late.
g) If everything else fails, go with shots from the blueline and create traffic in front of their net. We're not exactly good at this, so this should be used as a spare tactic.

pls.

Please, please, please expose their AHL caliber defense for what it is.
Also, let's outwork them today. They have Giroux's line out there every other shift while we are rolling four. Don't tell me we shouldn't have much more energy and jump.

Critical that Hank makes big stops to keep the momentum on our side. We can't afford to give them any hope.

Really hoping the rangers go with Miller, this is a 2 line offensive team with our current 3rd line.

You're absolutely right! Miller's 8 goal regular season pace, and constant defensive zone gaffes will certainly put us over the hump! All hail JT!

He's not a train wreck, I think a lot of the issues he's had have been overblown.

Giroux isn't getting much ice time. He is averaging only 18:41 a game in this series. Hartnell is getting 16:57 and Voracek is getting 15:59. None of the Rangers top line has seen less ice. Giroux's line really is far from being out there every other shift.

Stop with all the Miller crap already. He has shown he's not ready. Why not just play Haggerty as well? Ugh

Train wreck? No of course not. I also think his potential and play he has shown this season has been overblown.

PREACH! (too bad Haggerty can't play in the playoffs, he could be that offensive punch we're missing! He and JT 40 goals each next season book it).

12 O'Clock Home game, not really liking our chances. This schedule is really ********. Philly has already won the 12 o'clock Sunday game, you can bet they'll have confidence, and then they have the potential to go home and close the series out. We really got screwed by the schedule makers.

How are we screwed by it? If it 'screws' us, then it 'screws' the Flyers too... They're playing the same exact schedule.

Watching it at 6 PM in Holland is lovely. I'm sitting here, outside, waiting for the game to start. Laptop connected. I'm ready!

It's all about the bottom line $$$$. It is not about the sport, it is not about the fans. It's all about what is the best way to turn a profit.
