I think time based titles become a problem if we don't finish them faster.

Edit: When did I pass 5,000? Now I have to wait nine more years to hit a milestone I can celebrate.

Star Wars VII cast announced

Quote:
The long awaited announcement includes original trilogy actors Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. Joining them will be Max von Sydow, Andy Serkis, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac.

Maybe thread title needs to change to "waiting on VII"

As much as I love Star Wars, I'm just hoping this next wave is better than the prequels. I don't expect it to touch the original classics, but at least be worth watching.

It's gonna be awful...my prediction at least. Maybe that's because I think Abrams is the most overrated director.

He did well with the two Star Trek movies. With the new Star Wars films, hopefully they will be much better than the three prequels.

Not like its hard to be better than the prequels Eh I didn't really understand the love for the new Star Trek's I thought they were OK but nothing amazing like people made it out to be.

I definitely agree. After watching them and pondering on them, they weren't anything spectacular to say the least. For me though, I am a huge Star Trek fan in general and would thus be a little biased to the end of liking the two films a lot. With the new Star Wars films though, he seems to have a huge support team and a huge budget, hopefully he will do so much the better.

I thought they were good but not as good as old trek, much better than the previous two TNG films, 5 and the slow-motion picture. It's the only Star Trek my wife will watch, so I've got that going for me.

With Episode VII, anything without Jar Jar and those awfully written/acted Padme/Anakin romance scenes has to be better than the prequels.

As long as they actually have characters that aren't basically cardboard cutouts and have no arc whatsoever.

The prequels weren't about writing a captivating story that people could relate to and care about; all George Lucas/co. cared about was just putting Anakin in the Vader suit.

Does anyone here watch Orphan Black? I've been on an OB high for what feels like the last two months. Loving the new season so far.

I'm starting a run through when I can, luckily DirecTV has the first season through their on demand thing.

I've watched the first two episodes and I'm liking it so far.
