Are there any stats on individual hits ? Seems like Rinaldo has barely thrown any hits this series .

Read leads the team in hits with 18. Hartnell and the Schenns are tied for second with 15. Rinaldo has 10, that's less then 7 other Flyers.

Really, how does Laughton not do Rinaldo's job and more? Laughton can hit, willing to fight, has speed, way better hands and a way better two-way game. Just... what?

Rinaldo gets 2-3 mins a game. Laughton would probably not get many more minutes than that.

They probably don't think it's worth it to throw a kid out there just to pull him out especially when he's playing in a limited role.

Zac has averaged less then 7, if he PK'd (normal pker is injured or in the box) he could get more. I could see him getting 8-10 a game.

Plus, with Laughton PKing, it would give Giroux more of a rest for PP and ES time. Plus, it wouldn't be so bad to have the 4th line out during a tie game or if the Flyers are winning. Raffl-Laughton-Hall would be a very good two-way line that won't be weighed down by Rinaldo.

No, they can't change the PK in an elimination game, especially by putting a rookie on it in place of a proven guy like Giroux.

Yeah, Laughton would clearly be behind Couts, Read, Hall, Raffl and G on the PKing depth chart.

I was just pointing out that if need be he could PK. I don't think it would be smart to put him out like that when you have an option on the bench not named Akeson or B Schenn.

Giroux doesn't even regularly PK anymore. The only time he's out there is if one Couturier, Read, Raffl, or Hall is the one serving the penalty. He's only averaging 37 seconds of PK time thus far this series.

I would love to see Laughton tomorrow for multiple reasons. But not sure if Berube wants Akeson and Laughton out there for a deciding game.

Meltzer said Laughton practiced with the Black Aces so he won't be playing tomorrow.

I fully expect him to play in the Flyers next game, though. In October.

I have to agree, however I think they win Game 6 & lose Game 7. Too many passengers this series to win, it's kind of remarkable they even got this far with the way they've been playing so far.

I would be shocked if Rinaldo sits the next game. He's one of those guys Berube is clearly obsessed with.

Guy was out with 6 minutes left, Ex goons and ex Flyers will always play Rinaldo types over more skilled options. Right call though, look how well Carcillo played for the Rags in game 5. You need those types
