Exactly. The team needs time not more major changes. You replace guys like Vinny and Hartnell with the right pieces and in a few years this team is a contender.

This team does play like the teams out West. You could argue that the personnel isn't as good as some of those teams, but the playing styles are very similar. They play with a heavy forecheck and preach lane discipline. Seems a lot like the way the Blues, Kings, Avs, etc. play.

No forecheck at all. I been a Flyers fan for over 25 years and I have never disliked a team so much. Boring and slow with no passion or fire with no skill outside of G who's having all 5 Rangers eyeing him and Voracek we have no forwards that will be anything special and I won't talk about the D. Still gotta cheer tho

You liked last year's team and the 06-07 team more?

We have to show them our character tonight. We can not come out flat or take bad penalties. I believe in this team, they really just need to work much harder. This isn't a coaching thing or GM problem, the players need to dig in and work. One of my biggest philosophies in hockey is you need to win those 50/50 battles. The Flyers have lost way too many of them to be successful. Either they are out numbered or just out worked. They need to step up and show us they are willing to compete like hell to show the fans they want that chance at the cup as badly as we do.

All of the slow players gotta go to make strides forward including our beloved Brayden Schenn and the #8 pick in the draft Sean Coots. Those two players wouldn't be looked at by a lot of teams due to foot speed and now they are the Flyers problem.

Brayden Schenn is not a slow skater. I have no clue where this misconception has developed but he is by no means "slow"

Couts on the other hand does need to keep developing his skating. He needs to work on his acceleration, if he gets that down he will be alright. When he is going full speed, the kid can skate pretty well, it's just getting there.

Complains about team speed. Wants to be like Boston. Boston is slow-ish too.

2,400 tickets on stubhub right now for tonight
$150 gets you in a club box
some lower levels for just under $100

says a bit about the confidence of the fanbase...

Berube does realize that he doesn't have another 15 games to work things out. Tonight is it, it hasn't worked for the first 5 games, more than likely its not gonna work tonight.

If they lose, he should be fired. No excuse for going back to Gill.

Berube is a ****ing clown. I don't care what he did for us this season. Fire his ass. Gill is the worst. He was the reason we lost game 5. So what does this idiot do, puts him in the lineup for game 6. What an idiot.

Berube: "But he has seasoning and age and size."

Reporter: "What about skating?"

Berube: "What is skating?"

Granted, I didn't see games 3-5 since I was out of the country, but Gill over Gus is an abomonation even without watching him in game 5. Plus, I have to hear about his high school quarterbacking career again for the 249132850932th time.

I bet the biggest reason the Flyers are not playing Gus is because of his ability to handle a strong forecheck. Not saying I agree but he isn't Kimmo, he gets beat around when teams come hard after him. This is at least the only reason I can see them not playing him. Other than that...... im clueless.

He handled Malkin pretty good in 2012. He does get beat on the boards but IMO him getting beat on the boards doesn't happen as often as Gill gets beat, everywhere.

Schenn not on the top line is equally as stupid.

Chief has meatballs for brains.

Bottom line, this game isn't gonna be won by Gus or Gill (or series)

It'll be won by Hartnell playing better. Schenn sucks ass this series, I don't know why everybody wants him up on the 1st line.

And pretty much every forward not named Voracek needs to be better.

So I'm not gonna call for Berube's head.

Berube is a stubborn ****er: we've seen similar earlier this season when he stuck with the Coburn/Grossmann pairing way too long or later when he insisted on how well the legion of dumb fit together... slow or unwilling to accept the inevitable

Gus would fare much better against the forecheck than Gill does becuase he possess the quickness and puck skills to escape the pressure and make a play. Gill can't do a thing except get beat to the puck or chip it up the boards right to the Rags D.

If Gill suiting up again is true, then that is an outrage. Completely unbelievable.

Because Schenn has produced just as much as Hartnell in less minutes and hasn't been playing with the two best players on the team (who are actually producing a bit this series).

Hartnell has sucked just as much ass this series as Schennl and keeping the first line together obviously isn't working. You have to try something.
