Horcoff and Fiddler were fantastic in the playoffs. The rest were all terrible and should be gone if possible, but those two guys impressed the hell out of me.
They were really good in the playoffs, but what a combined 14 goals during the regular season? If we do resign Fids you have to let him know, your on the fourth line and PK and depth in case of emergency. Use them like a mentor line. Let play with a rookie, preferably one with speed and/or size, or maybe Peverley if he gets cleared to play.
Vatenen doesn't really replace them. I wasn't all that impressed with him this season anyways.
Well he only played like half the season and was scratched even after playing good. It's not all that easy to keep the pace or confidence up like that. Anyway he did manage to get 21 points in 48 games and 5 points in 6 games in the Olympics en route to bronze.
But yes, size is going to be the issue and not obviously going to be defensive force in front of own net. But neither is Goose or Daley.
But in terms of production, yes Vatanen will replace either of them, but overall play, well we will have to see in the future...
I don't think you guys have ever seen Ali in person. She's attractive.
That's great and all.. But what does looks have to do with anything here? I think the biggest complaint from people was that she had issues talking. Everything has a comma after it in her sentences. That is my biggest beef.
Other than that she's okay. Wish she would smile a bit more in public settings. I've been at a few practices and she just always has a growl on her face as she is leaving or walking out with Ralph and she has to wait for him as he chats with fans.
Who all do you guys think we realistically have a chance of getting this offseason, and at what cost?
We are going to have roughly $20M in cap space this offseason assuming we let everyone go.
We will most likely sign Roussel and Eakin, and they will probably get bridge deals worth 2/$1.5 and 3/$2.5 per respectively.
I would like us to dump Gonchar and Horcoff as well. Freeing up another $10M.
