Second best forward? Did you suddenly forget that Anaheim has both Getzlaf and Perry?

Yeah... you're just flat out wrong, with that statement.

Put Ebs with a guy like Getzlaf.. and he will easily put up the amount of points Perry does.

Yeah, that isn't far fetched at all.

Perry is clearly the better player.

Plays with a 22yr old and a 21yr old.. If he played with a big Skilled center he would be lights out. Perry= 465 points in 574 gms. Ebs=221 points in 275 gms

Dude, you're embarrassing Oiler fans. You know that thing called the Hart trophy? Perry has won one of those. Do you ever see Eberle even getting one 5th place vote in his career? Because I don't.

I would do this pretty easily.

Widman is a little expensive but I would do DSP+. Why do Flames fans want to get rid of him?

Probably not the thread to mention this, but is there something wrong with Couture? Aside from the Richards fight I barely noticed him in the series against the Kings.

Because stats tell the whole story? I mean lets not forget that one is a Hart winner after almost singlehandedly leading his team into the playoffs in a year where Getzlaf played 67 games. Scored 30 or more four times, would've been 5 if he hadn't missed 12 games in 07-08 where he finished with 29. Perry plays with heart, actually back checks, goes to the dirty areas of the ice, and most hockey fans could tell you he doesn't need Getzlaf to score goals. Getting into stats again, Eberle has never been point per game. Ever. And he gets all the minutes he wants in that gong show, do your homework son.

Eberle is going to be super expensive, and I don't really think this team needs help offensively, at all. If the ducks are trading DSP, it will 100% be in a package for a defenseman. I wouldn't mind Wideman, if the price is right. I'd really love to see Giordano come this way, if there's any possibility of that happening.

DSP + for Thornton? Or are you solely looking for Defensive help. I want to see Thornton win a cup, and I think we are going to be mediocre for a few years :|

It would take WAY more to get Thornton. He falls into the "nice to have but don't need" category along with every winger in the world.

A guy like Kesler or Stastny is a much better option since they are much younger and/or cheaper.

I would way rather trade for a Josi type #2 defensemen since I think that is what we really lack. We have a TON of young forwards and forward prospects but we dont have much in the way of top pairing 2-way potential defensemen outside of Lindholm (19) and Fowler (21).

I'd love to have Boychuk, but we kind of need someone that can quarterback a power play.

That's not one of Fowler, Vatanen, Theodore?

Very interesting offer. ID prefer to have DSP and Etem as,Etem, has, potential,to be = or > Kane or his own.
That and have better comtract control over the two vs Kane.

Fowler isn't a PP QB. Vatanen might be a good one down the road. And Theodore isn't anywhere close to the NHL. We need an experienced NHL D-man to man our power play, not another rookie working through teething issues in his first few years. We lost that when we traded Lubo, and it's something we need to address in the summer.
