Like @Gabe the Babe say, the Ducks receives Ottawa 2014 1st rd pick, Jakob Silfverberg and Stefan Noesen for Bobby Ryan.

Duchene is a Avs for long time.

Give me Subban and Weber over Karlsson any day of every week. Not trolling, being serious.

Duchene for Karlsson is not as far off base as some are pretending. I do think the Avs add to Duchene for Karlsson if that was who they wanted, but Karlsson is not defensively sound enough for Roy to give Duchene for him.

Duchene is an amazing young player who should only be traded if the Avs get the #1 defender they need. I do not think Duchene is expendable, but with that tremendous center depth he could be used to solidify the defence for the right deal.

And don't say thats all you would want, I'm sure there are other pieces you would want.

To me it seems that Colorado has 2 Duchenes, in him and MacKinnon. Nathan will be more though long term for sure no doubt.
Lol well buddy if Kyle Turris is listed as an untouchable for Duchene I doubt there's a deal to be made here.

Kris Letang and PK Subban? They're just as good, if not better, and I like Karlsson better than Subban but...

You dont move a young centre of Duchenes calibre unless youre getting a major piece back in return.

Ryan and Spezza both only have one year left on their contracts. They have essentially zero value when discussing a younger player under contract who's already better then both of them.

Even if Ottawa offered up Lazar + Cowen + Zibanejed... Colorado doesnt do that. Theres ZERO incentive for them to take on the risk.

Avs just made the playoffs for the first time in 4 years. I can guarantee that they aren't interested in trading him for a package heavily weighted with picks and prospects. The Avs are trying to put the rebuild in the rear view, not extend it. Spezza also isn't of much interest. It makes no sense to trade a 23 year old for a 30 year old at the same position.

You ruled out the only piece of any interest to the Avs. The Avs won't do the sens a favor and take quantity for quality.

Congrats. That's the 1,000,000th time the bag of pucks joke has been used of hf.

The 'value of' Duchene is more to the Avalanche than any team is willing to pay. The Senators don't have the pieces available to get Duchene in a deal that isn't quantity for quality.

In this particular trade there is no way Turris should be untouchable... however in most other trades many sens fans would agree Turris is one of the few untouchables after Karlsson.

Karlsson on one leg put up 74 points this year, with garbage for defensive partners. No way in hell I'd give him away for anyone on the Avs roster.

Avs could use a Karlsson, Duchene is close to fair value from an outsiders perspective but no sens fan would do it so its a moot point. The op is ridiculous. /thread

Ignore him, he's new here.

There are some complimentary pieces that would look good in an Avs uniform. Cowen, Methot, Wiercioch, Ryan and maybe even Hemsky.

But, there isn't a single package the Sens could reasonably put together, even including Karlsson, that would make me give up Duchene. If I have my way, Duchene's career mirrors that of Sakic. 1 team, long career, lots of success.

Don't judge all of us based off of the opinion of a new poster.

Send a message via ICQ to Professor John Frink
I always find it odd when a poster comes in asks about a trade for a player. The fans of that team come in and inform him it won't happen for reasons having nothing to do with value. Then the original poster goes on to tell an entire fan base they are wrong about what they need and what should happen.

Letang doesn't belong in the same conversation as two other norris trophy winners who are both younger and better. Karlsson's offensive game is head and shoulders above anyone else in the league at his position. This isn't even up for debate.

Furthermore, Av fans are off their rocker. We get that you like Duchene but... no.

Karlsson is a generational talent. Duchene is not.

This is incredibly comical. Turris doesn't even get Colorado to listen for Matt Duchene and you're even holding him out. You have zero chance of ever getting this player. Move along

ITT eastern conference team fans not knowing how good Duchene is. Guy has great speed and great hands and puts up points. He's a lot closer to Tavares than people want to admit.

Karlsson is an elite offensive defenseman, but not generational. He isn't in the same category as a guy like Lidstrom.
