Continue.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Continuing to troll and flame each other will result in infractions, threadbans and potential bans from the Stanley Cup Playoffs forum.

The Habs have been off for too long and should be a little rusty. Bruins take game one. Hope I'm wrong.

So you don't think there's generic fanbase pressure to win one after a 21 year drought, from a team that's historically won, what, every 3-4 seasons before this long stretch? It's akin to Yankees fans saying 'meh, we sucked for two seasons, making the playoffs is gravy'...that NEVER happens, this is a 'storied' franchise with a rabid fanbase, the pressure to win is ALWAYS there, and when there's a dought this long the pressure builds.

But my MAIN point is that this talk of 'pressure' is nothing but fans hyping up the series. The players will feel it, for different reasons, on both sides, but they're professionals who ahve been through the wringer before, if they can't handle a little pressure they wouldn't be in the NHL right now.
The expectations of this season from the fanbase have been met for most and for some pessimists, they've been exceeded. This is a team slowly working towards changing the culture and makeup of the roster. Montreal is a hockey town, we know how hard it is to win and how much time it takes to build a contender, especially after being mismanaged (putting it very lightly) for the last 15 years.

Buying off votes? And Maclean complained about francophone refs!

What about the integrity and exacting science of hfboard polls?

Zartonk asking how he could prank his bruins fan coworker. I crapped myself

Thanks!

Sorry if this is not thread worthy mods, I didn't know where else to but this.

Go Habs, I'm not going anywhere tonight except my couch, no way I waste time talking to people - it's all about hockey and my heart betting at 160 BPM for 3 hours

My faith in the poll is no longer unshaken. I must now go rock in the fetal position and rethink my entire life. It is a sad day here in my home for retired francophone refs....paid for by bribes.

Good people of the main board, I shan't be with you much longer. For my lurking hour has come.

So allow me to take the time to say this: It has been a privilege, nay, an honor, to engage in this verbal give and take with you. The juvenile jokes, the childish gifs, the petty jealousies born of battles won and lost long ago and in places that no longer exist.

And if you also decide to lurk in return, and see something in the Bruins board which may be disturbing to you just remember: It's just sports hate.

Here's to a great series, no injuries, and may the better team win.

And with that I bid you adieu.

Love the city, hate the Hab.™

Boston's kryptonite is speed. I expect Boston to have fits with the speed of the Habs. I think Montreal will win in 7. As fro Game 1, I expect Boston to win because Price has a bad record with 3+ days off.

Haha. Part 4 before the series even starts.

Can you imagine how fast this thread is going to go once the whining about calls starts?

Can't wait for this one, should be an exciting series.
