There's nothing more Belarusian than the name Geoff Platt.

Trouba is a stud.

Gaudreau's OK too.

Are you kidding me?

They were just playing DMX "Where the Hood At" unedited version in between the whistle.

Yeah a lot of teams missed the boat on him including that team to the western part of the state luckily. I can't believe they projected him to be not much of an offensive defensemen.

Hopefully Morin can have the same fate.

8 D taken in the top 10 that year and Trouba looks like the best so far.

Had no idea Da Costa and Roussel were French.

Sweden beat Denmark 3-0 earlier today. Gus lead the team in TOI with 18:15. He didn't have a point but was plus 1. On the other side Lauridsen was a minus 1 with just over 20 minutes of ice time.

Marcel Noebels has a goal for the Germans against Latvia so far.

And Italy beat France with a goal in the last minute. Clearly Italy > Canada then.

Noebels, an almost forgotten prospect. He needs to have a good season in the AHL or it may be Europe for him

Hopefully a good showing this tournament can give him some confidence heading into camp this summer. He needs a bounce back year next year after a disappointing one last year.

Gus had an up and down game today.

Was on the ice for all three goals against, had a brainfart with his partner on the first goal and got bullied in front of the net on the second goal, mixed with some decent o-zone play. The big ice is causing him problems.

4th in D-man icetime.

On a scale of 1 to 10 Reimer sucks.

The Czech's have reciprocated with former Flyers draft pick Jakub Kovar today who's been a sieve at the international level lately.

The Russians are manhandling the Americans physically thus far.

I was looking forward to see much more of Gus offensive side as he should have a big role on Sweden's defense. Not sure if he's getting any PP time.

He didn't last year either. He was a defensive work horse for them, getting loads of PK time and ice time in general (avg 24 min/game last yr). Last yr he was coming off lots of games (and minutes) with the Flyers. I think that carried over. This yr he played few and far between especially in the second half of the season.

I was hoping Noebbels would end up being a big 2 way winger at the NHL level. We will see.

Projects as a bottome 6 player IMO. He's still young but needs tone much better.
