Woah! Really? Thanks I would never have known that. Which means there will be more talent in the prospects draft even though they'll be ready to play this year.

Probably safe to say that Transplanted Caper is grabbing him at 1st overall in the prospect draft.

Yeah, if HF considers someone a prospect, they get relegated to the prospect draft.

Well that assuming I don't reverse the order of the main draft instead in which case wasting time would grab him.

Mind you I'd get Ovechkin so you people better convince me out of this fast.

Ovechkin is no sure bet at 2nd... I'm currently slated to go 2nd in the prospect draft, and I'm aiming elsewhere

Are all prospects who havnt played an NHL game a prospect. Lehtonen for example? Or is there a minimum number of games? Because one would think Colaiacovo would be a prospect

Minimum number of games and an age limit I believe.

Not really, it's 2a.m right now.

LeeIS- My draft list is up to 800 , including prospects. I will seperate them as soon as I find out exactly what is classified a prospect

Wow! Great work partner. Clear your pms we're going to work tomorrow!!

After removing the prospects, we should boil it down to 450, nothing more. 450 is the amount of players taken by the 30 teams after the 15 round extravaganza. We probably don't need that many though becuase after a while rankings won't mean so much. The last few rounds will be littered with mediocre players.

No, 900 players would be the amount taken.

oops, actually 15 players per team would kinda be impossible. I just multiplied 15x30. Having said that, don't you think 30 players per team is a tad too high?

Combination makes alot of sense. How does the prospect thing work in the simulation anyway? Are they ever called up? I can imagine Sidney playing a few games a year would be a dissapointment for the person that drafts him.

You can choose if and when you wish to play them.

Then if all the high ranking prospects who have a shot to play in the big leagues will be played, what would the farm team's purpose be? and most importantly they should be part of the draft since they're gonna lace up full time on the big clubs. What I'm saying is if we have a roster of 40+ (including prospects) but our true intention would be play a certain 20-25 then the rest would be a waste to begin with.

The point would be that in future seasons you can bring them up.
